Our weekend

This was our very stormy looking sky this morning. It never rained much here. We do have a chance though for some storms tomorrow and Tuesday.
I have two rows of my red, white and blue afghan finished. I have nearly enough squares ready to do row three. I needed a break from it so I did a little bit of cross stitching but I feel more like crocheting this week.
I started an afghan to give to charity. Caron provides the yarn, and I make and give it away. I am not sure if I will give it to Newborns In need or another charity. It will be an afghan about 30 by 40 inches. This one you join as you go. I also need to make 3 squares for the quilt raffle for Internet Min Pin Rescue.
Lastly, to answer some questions asked of me. Sorry, I can not remember who asked them. LOL! Someone asked if my stove had a self cleaning oven. No, it doesn't. I thought it did when I looked at it but I was wrong. I seldom have to clean mine anyway so I don't mind. It just doesn't get dirty very much when cooking for two. Next, I was asked how I join my granny squares. I sew them but I use my crochet hook to pull the yarn through rather than a yarn needle. Just works better for me. And thank you for all the loving thoughts and prayers on my sinus issues. I still feel punk much of the time but it has not been a week yet with the antibiotics. So that is all the news for us for this weekend. God bless and keep you and may your week be full of blessings and His mercy!

Hi Michelle, so kind of you to make an afghan to give to charity. You are doing good work, keep it up! I am still stuck with a cross-stitch I started some months back for a friend. Been so busy blogging and developing my own blog recently :-) Have to get down to some serious work this year ie cleaning my house as Chinese New Year is just around the corner here in Singapore, to be exact on 6th and 7th Feb. It's been raining in Singapore especially in Dec. I have to keep myself warm as sometimes I get asthmatic attacks in Dec because of the cold rainy season. Glad to know your sinus problem is better. Take care and have a blessed week! Kind regards, Nancie

We both waved to you and Jack as we crossed the Mississippi...about the closest we came to MO. Did I ever tell you my grandmother grew up in Braymer MO?

Anyway, we are in Arkadelphia tonight and home tomorrow. Thanks for going on the trip with us, it helped a lot to connect!

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow.

Love!

Hi Michelle, I just posted my lastest post on "Importance of Support Network". I have added you under "5. My newfound Blogging Friends." Just wonder whether there is anything I can add to describe you? Or can you share your experiences on your Support Network"? Thanks. Take care! Regards, Nancie

The room is empty, but Groovy hears a voice calling to her in sultry, inviting tones, "You neeeeeed to make an afghan. You liiiiike to crochet....You can maaaaaake the time...."

Groovy suddenly springs to her feet, grabs a chair and a whip and turns on the invisible voice, "NO!" she yells, "Back thou foul beast! You will NOT tempt me to start another project that I shall not finish! No! No! NO!"

Groovy needs a cup of tea...

You are just wonderful -- I am honestly, absolutely AMAZED how fast you get your projects completed. I need to get with the program!! Love the caramel color and my kitchen is almost like the guacamole. When I am asked what my favorite color is, I usually says its NOT green. Yet if you come in my house ... there is ALOT of it! How silly. LOL!

The red, white, and blue afghan is going to be so neat when it is finished. I've been looking through your site at the different pictures of your afghans. You must have a lot of patience. I don't and therefore I usually knit hats.
