cross stitch and E.J. too!

Does it look like a wolf yet? LOL! Hardly! I am actually working on the background in the upper left hand corner. Maybe next time it will look like more than a brown blob!
Here is where I left off on Rainbow Bridge. I know I am close to done but I needed a break. I admit too that finishing and putting Katie-Bug and Bubba Joe's names is tough and I am stalling.
So what has E. J. been up to?  Well beating up defenseless sticks for one.
Maxing out while mom is on the computer is another favorite.
And when you grow weary of that go max out in the bed!
So that is it for me today.  I am off to do my chores and make laundry soap!  God bless and huggles.

Sewing patterns anyone?

I have pretty close to 200 sewing patterns that  Jack bought so I could pass them on to others.  They had belonged to a seamstress so they have been used but gently.  I have numerous baby and children, a few mens, a lot of womens including several from the 1950's.  The women's are jumpers, dresses, tops and pants.  I even have 3 wedding dress patterns that are wonderfully modest with sleeves.  I only ask for postage which will be about a dollar and forty cents in the United States for one pattern. Anything more than one I would need to find out.   Out of the country will surely be more and I will have to check on it.  Just let me know what it is you are looking for and the size needed.  You can e mail me at michellep583@gmail.com

Joyful Expressions!

That means more than one thing for me today.  Some time ago, I told you about my friend Sandra who owns Joyful Expressions-Bible Verses in Cross stitch.  I tell you, even if you don't cross stitch you will so love looking at her beautiful charts.  Here are just a few.

Aren't they beautiful?  I think she has a great eye for color and design.

I was working on the bedroom floor yesterday and as you can see E.J. was really working hard too.  LOL!  I look a mess, cap off, hair falling down so I stuck my tongue out at Jack!
I took this one of Jack looking spiffy and silly.  He has a wet towel under his hat as he heads out to mow.  It was pretty warm today too I will tell you
Yes, I do have stitchy stuff!  I am starting on this wolf.  Trouble was the only fabric large enough was the blue I used to do Rainbow Bridge.  That would not have looked right so yesterday I soaked a piece of it in tea and a bit of vinegar and it came out a very nice mottled brown with just a little toned down blue here and there.  This will be a present for a friend.
So I hope you enjoyed our Joyful expressions post!  It was enjoyable to do!  God bless and huggles.

Word-filled Wednesday

Shame on me that I have not done this for some time.  But here I go again.  I made this one when Jack and I celebrated our 30 year anniversary the 6th of this month.

Here we are stitching on a soggy Monday!

Here is Jack's kitchen piece. He had put it down for awhile and now he is doing a mess of outlining.
I am building a bridge! LOL! Seems like forever working on the silly thing but it is getting there slow but sure.
And I thought you would enjoy this picture of E.J.. He often sits on his Bobo toy, gives it a stern look and beats the soup out of it.
Sorry for such short posts but we are working on our bedroom.  It is getting close to being done.  We took the bed apart and cleared everything out, tore up the carpet and pad and now we are cleaning up the floor.  We need to finish painting, trim out the other windows, put up border, and strip and stain the hardwood.  I think that is all!  LOL!  So God bless and huggles all!

E.J. from first day home until now

Most of you know our darling Katie-Bug died of pneumonia on February 8th of this year. In remembrance of our girl, I wanted to do pictures of E.J from his first day home until now.  He can not take her place but he helps ease broken hearts.
E.J. with Jack on his first day home. E.J. only weighed 3.2 pounds but he thinks he is the size of a rottweiler!
He sleeps like this a lot with that tongue sticking out! You can hear him making a suckling noise too!
We thought it was funny bringing home a huge Bobo for him.  Turns out the bigger funny was how tough he tries to be with that Bobo!
Makes my neck hurt seeing him napping like that!  He sleeps in some of the oddest manners!
Here he is styling in his new harness.  He was a wee bit grumpy this day having had his shots.  LOL!  That look is a riot!
Nothing like a good snooze!
He loves the outdoors with his tennis ball or dragging sticks around and chasing the birds.
That face just melts my heart!
That is our boy!  He can still be a little terror but the biting of toes is getting better and he is now a big boy weighing in at 5.7 pounds!  He is learning to enjoy car rides and his crate is no longer a thing to be afraid of.  He is turning into quite the boy and has learned to sit for a treat.  Not sure what we will learn next but walking on a leash is in there somewhere.

Rainbow Bridges and E.J. too.

Here is where I am at on Rainbow bridge.  It is the last page but there are plenty of things to do!
Little E.J. laying out back while I was fixing supper tonight.  I will let him be out by himself but I keep a close watch on him.
LOL!  Need I say anything about this one?
And lastly, I thought I would show you as best I can what all of the Rainbow Bridge looks like.  It is over 30 inches long so it is not easy.
So there ya go.  That is my short little post for now.  God bless and huggles.
