Swearing Kitties & Plenty of Stitching

I just really did think this picture looked like Sylvia Joy was taking an oath so I had to have some fun with it!

Now that we have laughed at the cat, here is an update on my beloved Jack’s baby quilt.  Lots and lots of outlining left for him!

And here is my Guardian Angel and I am still working on the wings but getting close!

A little more progress on Gathering Eggs as well.

And LOTS of progress on Names Of Jesus.

Now I would like you to meet little E. J.  When our Katie-Bug passed away in February 2010, a friend later that year bought and gave this little stinker to us.  He was so full of himself and never made a two or four legged friend.  But one mistake by my hubby and I in October 2010 allowed him to escape and be killed by the neighbors dog at the tender age of 6 months.  It like to tore our hearts out.

Now I tell you this to share this piece from Sue Hillis designs.  I actually finished it just before Katie passed away but needing a break I put it aside and later added the names of our dear pets.  It was not until today that I felt strong enough to add E. J.’s name to it because it is still a hard thing to deal with.  When it is Sylvia Joy’s time, her name will be next to his.  It is well over three feet long but wasn’t bad at all to stitch.

Life is interrupting my stitching!

Despite a procedure Jack went through and lots of appointments, I have managed to get some stitching done.  I actually did crochet while waiting for Jack’s procedure to be done and while he was waking up.  We did get good news so we are thankful for that!  Anyway, here is the small progress on Names Of Jesus.

It is terribly hard to see the white but I have gotten a lot done on the wings.  I will finish them and then I will finish whatever needs done on the upper part of the chart.  I did find some things I missed on the flowers on her head.

And here is the Gathering Eggs piece.  I am working on her right now but plan to go switch off for the Names Of Jesus piece for my evening sewing.

Here is the basketweave crochet rug for the bathroom I have been working on.  Slow progress but progress it is!

And lastly have a laugh at our girl who does not want to share my side of the bed!  LOL!

God bless and huggles.

I Must Be crazy!

On top of a crochet project and two cross stitch projects, I have added a third project.  You can find the free chart at Joyful Expressions
The wings on the angel are coming along nicely.  I have finished the greys (unless I missed something) and now it is a matter of filling in the white.
And I am zipping along on my Gathering Eggs one.  I have finished the tealish colored skirt and am onto the last bit of it.
And here is a picture of some size ten thread I got when Jack and I went to hobby lobby last week.  i thought the colors would make a lovely doily!
So now are you ready to smile or laugh at Sylvia Joy?  Here she is playing in her “cube” or what we call the “spaceship”.  Of course all that playing called for a nap on the dresser!
Thanks for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.

Still Stitching

It’s been a bit hectic around here lately but there is always time for stitching and picking on the cat.  Here is Miss Sylvia Joy napping earlier today on the bed.
And here is my progress on Guardian Angel from L&L.  We went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and Jack got my light effects thread I had run out of so now I can just finish it all up without waiting.
And I have been working on gathering Eggs by Nora Corbett too.  It is coming along well also.
And as if I don’t have enough going on, I decided to gather up some yarn and start crocheting a bathroom rug.  I am doing a basketweave pattern in the center and then I will do a border of some type.  I am winging it so not real sure about how it will all come together.
This is the next project I will be working on.  I am thinking of going ahead and pulling the thread for it.  I soak a piece of white aida in some tea to darken it just a bit and soften that bright wihte.
So thanks for visiting and come again soon.  huggles and blessings.

Cross Stitch, Chairs and Silly Kitties

Jack bought me a couple old chairs for ten dollars a piece.  The bentwood one only needs new upholstery but the dark one needs a bit more work.  I like them though!
As you can see in the following photos, Sylvia Joy thinks they were bought for her!
I am really coming along on the Gathering Eggs project.  It is still a fun stitch for me.
And I am coming along well on Guardian Angel too.
And I will leave you with pictures of two little sweet dogs I met outside the grocery store today.  I had a very nice visit with their dad too.
Blessings and huggles.

A Roll In The Sun & Cross Stitching too!

Sylvia Joy was having quite a nice roll in the sun this morning!
Whenever Jack is in a good deal of pain with his legs, he often has to lay on the floor for relief.  It never fails that Sylvia will come and rest beside him for a bit as if she is checking on him.
Just enjoying the window yesterday in time for the birds to be very active close by.
I have made some nice progress on the Gathering Eggs project.
Still working on the angels wings.
I tried to do a close up of her wing to show you.  However the grey is very pale and doesn’t show well!
So thank you for visiting!  hope to see you again soon.  Blessings and huggles.
