Rainy Day stitching & Play

I know many of you are wondering about my Gathering Eggs project and what is happening with it.  well, nothing to be honest!  I found some beading needles about a week ago finally and now I can find the stitching so I can put the beads on!  For now I give up looking as we have really torn the place apart looking.  hopefully it will show up one of these days.

Jack has been doing this little covered Bridge project when he isn't doing a quilt square.  He came up with his own colors.  It was given to us by a friend and had no instructions which is kinda fun sometimes!

I am coming along well with my fish project.  It is really very enjoyable!

I do want to add this project and put aside my stained glass ones for now.  I have had this since 2001 and it is about time I did it!

Now I think it is time for Sylvia sillies so here ya go!

Be blessed and huggles.

Stitching and enjoying rain!

Here come the fishies!  LOL!  The second one is getting close to done!

Jack is working on another quilt square.  Got the heart all done!

Our neighbors across the way that live in the lower apartment playing in the rain Sunday afternoon.  The children have cerebral palsy and are so precious!

Here is Miss Sylvia Joy first trying to get a toy from under the hutch and napping later.

Hope you enjoyed the visit!  Blessings and huggles.

Merrily we stitch along!

The doily is finished despite Sylvia's dubious "help"!   Still an end or two to work in.   LOL!

And I have had a little progress on my Porthole Fish too.  I am still enjoying them!

I had to tear out and redo the darker turquoise on the right of the little fish.  That slowed my progress a bit.

Are any of you young enough to remember wooden spools?  These were my Grams.  Just look at the prices!  I still have an use the button and carpet thread my grams had left.  It is heavy tough stuff!

Now could we leave today with out Sylvia?  She is a lazy bones in two pictures and washing her belly in one after she stole my corner of the loveseat!

Thanks for visiting and hopefully sharing a laugh or two.  Blessings and huggles.

Weekend Stitching

The fish are coming along swimingly!  LOL!  Sorry but I had to say that.  I am really enjoying needlepoint again and only wish I could afford to do more of it.

Jack also finished his first quilt square.  So pretty!  Right now he is working on another project but I don't have pictures of it.  I had hopes of having a picture of my finished doily and I am close if sylvia would leave me alone long enough!  LOL!

Speaking of Sylvia, here she is debating whether to sun on the floor or her tree.

Thanks for visiting!  See you soon.  Blessings and huggles.

Rainy Day fun!

Here is the bit of work on my needlepoint.  You may notice my stitches don't always line up with the colors on the canvas, but that is okay as I am going by the chart which is more accurate.  Sometimes the design is printed a bit crooked.

A beautiful thunderhead and clouds as storms rolled in tonight.

Here is what Miss Sylvia Joy did today!  Mustn't overdo anything ya know!

Thanks for the visit.  It wasn't much in the stitching world but I hope you enjoyed it.  Blessings and huggles.

A finish!

Well, I finished this up this weekend.  Now it will become a small pillow.  I really enjoyed doing it although there were times I got tired of it if you know what I mean.

And I am now racing toward a finish on the doily.  Counting the row I am working, it is 4 rows.

I can't afford needlepoint anymore, but this fella has been hanging around here for a few years.  We got it on clearance some time ago.  It is called Porthole Fish and is by Janlynn.  The finished size will be 14 by 14 so it will most likely end up a pillow as well!

Jack has just a little bit to finish on his quilt square as you can see.  He is enjoying them but planning to add another project when he needs a change.

Sky pictures from the other evening.  Some much needed rain moved in later that night.

When Sylvia is ready for her late night treat and thinks I need to get off the computer, this is what I see.  LOL!

Here she is playing today and trying to convince me she was NOT playing with the blind strings!  i don't mind though as she only slaps them around a little.

Thanks for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.

Oh so close!

I am oh so close to being done.  Found a small boo boo after I took this picture but it will be a quick fix.  After that, only the outer part of the border to do.

And Mr. Jack is halfway done with his first quilt square.  Looking very pretty don't you think?

Thanks for visiting!!!  Huggles and blessings.

A short post

I am very close to finishing this so it is all I am working on right now.  I think I can have it finished in a few days.

And here is Jack's quilt block.  I think these quilt squares will make a nice wall hanging.

And that is the end of this short story!  LOL!  Huggles and blessings.

Some weekend stitchy fun-Hearts!

A little bit of fun with hearts is in order.  Nearly everything has hearts on it!  This is a piece jack cross stitched that I put together in a pillow. It sits on a "Jewel Tea" bowl on the hutch.

Of course my Bluebird Sampler has hearts on it.  I have been very busy with it by the way!

Here is jack with some heart quilt squares he just started.  Love the colors!

A little crochet heart I made that sits on the hutch.  It is less than 2 inches at it's widest point.

This Jack's finished pillowcases.  No hearts here but I had to show them to you.

Sylvia is showing her tummy heart!

That was very enjoyable!  Thanks for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.
