Warm post, chilly day

Here is the Stain glass project.  I need a little break right now from it so I am working on something else.

Some had asked about Jack's loom and here it is.  This site also has some nice looms.

This is what I am working on now.  It is from Rosewood Manor called Come Sit With Us.

You know me and my tea stained aida!  LOL!  That is what I am working it on.  It's a fairly simple and pretty project.

Our girl being tarzana as we call her.

I threw her mice at and on her and she just looked at me.

All that fun calls for a nap!

Thanks for visiting.  Blessings and huggles.

A finish, a surprise, and a getting close!

We got what we call a "blessing" box today.  We knew something was coming but didn't realize how many wonderful things there would be!  I did forget to put the quilt squares in the picture.  My thanks to Carlene for sending it!

My latest doily is finished!  i need to starch and iron it now.

I am getting so close to being finished on my stained glass piece.  I have tucked away the porthole fish and the other stain glass piece for now.

Jack has been playing with his knitting loom and made this mat for Sylvia Joy's feed dishes to set on.

These are place mats for us.

Here is our girl in what we call her "tuna coma"  I was getting the stinkeye big time!

Just caught this funny one of her by accident!

Blessings and huggles and thanks for the visit.

An outing and stitching too!

We had to go to another town for Sylvia's canned food and Jack and I took some pictures.  I hope you enjoy them!  The first is on the street where our apartment is.

Country Lane in Cave Springs.

The next three was either in Cave Springs or Elm Springs.  I forget!

Jack had to take a picture of the cows in front of this hill.

I love donkeys and mules and came across these two with their cow friend.

Now here is my doily nearly done!  Two and a half rows to go!

And nearly done with the outline color on the Stain glass piece.

Someone stole Mom's corner and then tried to be cute!  LOL!

Thanks for the visit.  Blessings and huggles.

Weekend Stitching

I wanted to share something my Grandmother liked to make and give away.  She would make two granny squares and join them with a decorative edge.  The part you see folded down would have a little yarn bow and then she would slide a pencil in there and put a little notepad in the other part.  A ribbon at the top allowed for hanging near the phone to take messages.

Now here is the progress on the doilly.  I am now on row 26 of 30 so it is getting close to being finished.

And the cross stitch stained glass piece is coming along.  I do need buy the floss color of the "leading".

Of course you are ready for Sylvia pictures now aren't you?  Here you go!

Thanks for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.

Stitching Away!

Fresh home made bread from yesterday.  It is called Amish Sweet Bread and is so good.

Here is my doily.  I am on  row 18 of 30 so it is coming along great.

Well, I ran out of the color for the leading and we are out of it in the extras so I am working on the colored, or glass, part.

Here is our silly girl enjoying a spot of sun this morning and then watching tonight to see what dad is doing.

Thanks for visiting and come again!  Huggles and blessings.

Caution: Big Post!

Yesterday we went for a fun day for Jack's belated birthday which was the first.  we went to Petsmart in Rogers and always enjoy this sweet little conure.

We also stopped at the cross on the property where someday our new church home will be built.  It is close to where we live now.

Saw these three huge crosses in Rogers.

There is a produce store on the way home and here are some of the goodies.  I will show you more in a bit.

We came home with this jam.

Cute kitty up for adoption at petsmart.

 More produce store goodies.

 Hobby Lobby scarecrows.

Last picture of gourds at the produce store.

The new bernat Handicrafter size 5 thread.  So soft and the colors are lovely.  This one is called Iris.

I am back to working on my Stained Glass Cross stitch pieces.

A couple cute pictures of Sylvia!  Jack thinks she looks like she is laughing.  Could be!

Thanks for visiting.  Blessings and huggles.
