Angels, cross stitch & kitty tongues?

I have started stiffening and shaping the angels.  Here are a couple.

There has also been a lot of work on the Rosewood Manor piece.  Not much left to do now.

A close up of the winter quilt block.  Trust me it will be pretty when done!

Sylvia Joy was being extra silly yesterday but I did not realize until I edited the photos that her tongue was out!  I love it!!!!!

Thanks for visiting and laughing with us at Sylvia's antics!  Blessings and huggles.

Midweek Stitching fun!

This was our sunset tonight.  I thought this verse was fitting.

Well, the Autumn quilt block is done.  The stripes on the rust colors was a bit of a pain but not to much.

I am working on the border right now which is simple and goes really quickly.  I am working on the bottom right now and I actually have to turn it upside down to work on it.  It feels odd to me otherwise.

Sylvia Joy washing her tootsies this afternoon and just hanging an arm over while relaxing on her tree!

Thanks for the visit.  Blessings!

Busy day of stitching

I am just zooming along on the Autumn block.  I will have to go back after outlining and fill in partial stitches here and there.

The three blocks done or in progress.

And here is a pile of angels awaiting stiffening and a touch of sparkle.

Thanks for visiting this short post!  Blessings and huggles.

Getting back in the groove!

Shall we start off laughing at Sylvia?  I always like laughing at her silliness!

I am working on the little crochet angels but mostly I am cross stitching.  This little "quilt" is all finished!

This little "quilt" is just getting started!

and this is what it all looks like now.

Yesterday Jack and I went to Rogers AR to Petsmart for Sylvia's treats and then on to Hobby Lobby.  I have seen this kitted cross stitch at a couple places for just under forty dollars which I will not pay!  When you are on a fixed income you have to be careful with your funds after all!  Hobby Lobby had it on clearance for fourteen and with a coupon I got it for six!  Now that I can live with and I also have my next project!

So thank you for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.

Sneezy Stitching! LOL!

I have been under the weather since Friday but the last couple days I have felt like cross stitching in between sneezing and coughing.
Here is my sunflower block before the outlining.

Toodling long on the outline!  I still have stripes and such to do on it also.

Poor Sylvia has been kept awake with my coughing fits so it calls for lots of naps!

Thanks for the visit.  Blessings and huggles.

Major stitching going on!

A friend sent me a little angel in crochet and asked if I could figure out the pattern and make them.  well I did figure it out and they are a blast to make.  Here is one of them in white and I will do them in shaded pink too.

I have been cross stitching away on my Rosewood Manor piece.  I am loving the sunflower pattern more and more.  There are some stitches I will need to do after the backstitching is in to get it filled in properly.

Time for another update!

I have been working away on my afghan and have nearly two rows done.  I might have been further along but i am also doing a couple other crochet projects.

Also I am working away on my cross stitch project, Rosewood Manor's "Come Sit With Us"

Some days Sylvia will actually cute it up for the camera and last night was one of them.  I caught this picture on my way to bed.

Jack and I were hungry for bread pudding so this is the result of that.  It came out really well too!

Thanks for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.

Cross Stitch & Crochet

Just because I can, I am doing this post backwards compared to how I usually do it!  LOL!
Here is a picture of our living room looking from the front door.  It feels good to have it all set up now minus a couple pictures needing repair.

And this is a view from the hallway.

Our girl napping away the day.

And dreaming out the window.

I have made some progress on the afghan.  It really is a lot of fun!

Tonight I sat and worked away on my cross stitch project.  Sylvia was curled up next to me and it was a very pleasant stitching evening.
Thanks for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.
