Wow what a week!

I have been fighting a sinus infection and we have been on the prowl for a new place to rent.  The rental market is so different than what we are used to.  Not as many vacancies means tough competition and no one will hold a vacancy for more than two weeks even with deposit and approved app.  It was quite by a fluke that we found a nice townhome managed by a company we really like.  So happens the people are moving out the 25th of May and we want to move the 1st of June.  So yesterday we signed the lease.  What a relief!  Where we are now is just not a pleasant place to be sometimes.
Now onto other things!

Not a lot of progress on the cardinal.  Between running out of a color and having to go buy more and my sinuses I just have not cross stitched much.

I have been enjoying crocheting though as long as Sylvia leaves me alone!  LOL!  Crocheting I can do headache or no up to a point.

Hamming it up for her treats!

Trying to get my magazine off so she can get under the fabric covering my yarn and thread.
Thanks for visiting!   Blessings and huggles.

Cardinals, gifts and kitties!

I was fortunate to win a chart from Cathy at Crafty Cat. She also was so sweet as to send me a big piece of aida cloth.   Here is a link to her blog.  It really is a great blog to read.

I decided I needed to do something other than all those flowers for awhile.  Mrs cardinal is looking rather nice!  It is a nice break as well.

Here is the baby afghan as well.  I bought some blue and yellow to add and more pink in case I need it.

I got sylvia all wound up and playing yesterday.  She has been extra silly lately.
And I have a video pf her enjoying some tummy rubs.  She lets Jack do it most of the time but not me!

Little update!

I am actually working on the female cardinal.  I needed a change for a bit from the floral.

We had the windows open yesterday and again today.  Last night I turned around to see what Sylvia was up to what she was up to.  this is all I saw!

Thanks for visiting.  Continue to pray for those affected by the bombing in Boston.  Huggles and blessings.

Blessed Friday!

I had a request for a baby afghan this week.  She asked for soft colors and since it isn't known what her friends baby is, I am going to add blues and yellows as well.  This is an easy pattern I have done before.

It doesn't look like much, but I have managed some cross stitch and outlining.  I have moved to the far left side and I think I will continue to work down from there for now.

I thought we were owned by a cat, but it seems a monkey has taken her place!

Thanks for the visit!  Blessings and huggles.

It's been how long since I posted?

I started a baby blanket last night for a friend who wishes to give it as a gift.  I will be adding lavender next and then yellow.  Of course more white in there as well.  This is a simple pattern to do but I don't remember where I got it.  I do have the link somewhere!

A little progress on the cardinals piece.  I was asked if I used several threaded needles with a lot of color change.  I used to but don't anymore.  It is just easier for me to switch off colors with one needle.

Speaking of cardinals, Mr. Cardinal was up close yesterday and I was able to snap a not so good picture of him.

A couple sunset pictures for you.

And our girl tormenting a mouse.

Enjoying the open window.
And the odd way of washing a leg while on the cat tree!

Thanks for the visit.  Blessings and huggles.

Flowers, sunset and kitties!

I have been very busy on my Cardinal piece. Here is a close up of one of the flowers.

And here is the bit i am working on now.  it is a little slow going with so many color changes but still fun.

The sunset was lovely tonight.  If you look closely at this first picture you will see the birds coming to roost.

I love the clouds!

Someone was on the sofa hamming it up!

And big time snoozing on the kitten tree.

Thanks for coming to visit.  Huggles and blessings!
