Last post before we move!

Well last night we had another close call with a tornado and we are again under a tornado watch.  Poor Moore OK got hit again and numerous other areas in Oklahoma.
Now onto some better news.  I have managed to get some done on my cardinals.  Packing is not to bad here as we really don't have nearly the things we did a couple years ago.  Feels good to be living with less clutter!
Here is a close up of the Mr. and Mrs!

Silly cat1  I don't know what she was doing that for but it isn't the first time!

Once we are moved and have internet again I will be back.  Not sure how long that will be though.  Huggles and blessings.

Stormy weather but still stitching.

It has been, to say the least, an interesting week.  Let's start with the good things first.  I took a picture of this hawk yesterday while sitting in the truck and added some scripture to the pic.

I have been hard at my cardinals!  This is where I stood when i went to bed.

Isn't this pretty?  It is Jack's quilt squares that he plans to make into place mats.

I was getting the stink eye last night from Sylvia!  Doesn't bother me in the least!

Now to answer a question about the crochet angels and what my friend does with them.  She mails them in cards or hands them out to folks facing an illness or a loss, etc.
Now the not so fun part.  I am sure most of you have heard of the tornado in Moore Oklahoma.  Monday night here in Siloam Springs we had a weak tornado and straightline winds.  A young man in Springdale was killed when a sign was ripped from the pole and went thru his windshield.  A family here lost the roof of their home and have no insurance.  We were without power for nearly 3 hours and there is a lot of downed trees damaging homes and outbuildings.  It was as dark at seven in the evening as it is normally at sunset and the hail was horrible.  Jack and I hid in the kitchen and Sylvia was behind the sofa.
Here is a slidebox of it all.

Fun little post!

I have been busy on more angels for a friend.  They are so fun to do that I don't mind at all!

And the Cardinal piece has more done on it.  Soon it is on to Mr. Cardinal!

Here is our girl soaking up the sun.  It is her favorite activity I think.

Watching dad!

Showing off her heart!  We tease her about it slipping down so far!
Well, I will continue to post as much as I can until the internet is off for the move, around the first of the month.  So thanks for visiting!  Huggles and blessings.

Heavy duty stitching!

I have been hard at it on my Cardinal piece!  The main body of the Mrs. is done and the outling of her beak and eyes are done.  Jack says she needs her feet or landing on a branch might be a little rough!  I should have pointed out to him she doesn't have a branch to land on!

Here is the progress on my Clover-leaf doily.  I am nearing the halfway point on it but may not have quite enough thread.  We will see.
As promised, here is the "Relaxation" doily I finished last week.  It was a bit tough to press that rascal but I got it done!

We had to make the Petsmart run for kitty foot and met this 9 year old cutie named Scooter.  His tail never seems to stop wagging!
Simba playing with Jack is waiting for his home.
Our sunset last night.  Love the way the sun is peeking thru the trees.

Happy Stitching Here!

Still working on Mrs. Cardinal!  I feel hopeful I am getting there but yet feels like so much work yet to go.  She is pretty though!

I have started another doily designed by Elizabeth Hiddleson.  it is called Clover-leaf Centerpiece.  I have finished the other but it needs a good ironing before I show it to you.

Silly Sylvia cleaning under the rug! at least she is doing it with style!  I have seen her scoot around most of the rug doing this with one or both hands.

Thanks for the visit of such a short post!  Huggles and blessings.

Snow, a view, cross stitch and crochet!

I have been working on my Cardinals piece but Mrs. Cardinal is slow going with many color changes.

I thought this was so cute!  We saw it in Wal Mart.

Work is also going well on the doily.  I would be done save for the fact I had to tear out a row.

We had three inches of snow overnight.  A record for this part of Arkansas.  It was chilly and windy today.

Here is Sylvia and I wonder how she keeps from getting a crick in her neck!

Our new landlord where we will be moving next month is in a beautiful location high on a hill.  You can see a mountain to the south.
And looking East you can see a nice chunk of Lake Fayetteville.

So that is it from me.  Huggles and blessings.
