Wandering in the yarn!

I have all the blocks done for my jacket.  Now I am doing seams and soon the hood too.  Let me tell you the story of the colors.  Often I do not have the money to buy all I need for a project so I buy a little at a time and I am sometimes blessed with gifts of yarn from friends.  I had all but one of the colors I needed and in the mail came a surprise package from my dear friend Lana with the lovely eggplant yarn!  That was quite a blessing.  The right side is the side seam.  I know it looks confusing right now but just wait!

Here is Jack rolling odd and end yarn into balls with his helper!
Yesterday Sylvia had three mice in the entryway and thos morning it was six and now it is seven.  Sylvia landmines we call it.
That watching of dad called for a nap!

Happy Crocheting Here

Been working away on Jack's vest.  It is a slow go being worked in all single crochet.

And working on my squares for my jacket too.  Tomorrow I need to finish up some angels to mail next week end.
Sylvia stole my crochet hook and then threw it on the floor.
Then did a goofy on the floor.
Got some Dad loves!
And I finally caught her sitting silly on the stairs!

Love her foot on Jack's arm!

Rose Sampler is finished!

Yes indeed it is finished.  Got it all done yesterday!  So without further ado, here it is.
And this is what a finished granny square for my jacket will look like.  I don't have to many completly done as I have been working on a vest for Jack also.  No pictures of that yet.
Had so much fun picking on Sylvia Joy last night as she fell asleep!  Going!!!!!

Rainy Day Posting.

Hello!  I am so, so close on finishing my Rose Sampler.  Only the bottom border to go!
However, I am being sidetracked by making a hoodie!  What can i say!!!!  Sometimes I like to flit about between many things.
We went out for lunch today and to Hobby Lobby as they were having a sale on home decor.  I am trying to buy crosses for every room and I walked out with a cross and this sign.

After I let Jack out and went to park I saw a 2015 Corvette and took pictures.  Do you know those things start at $54,000.00 dollars?

So that is all for today!  Thanks for visiting.  huggles and blessings!

Having fun stitching!

I have been enjoying some cross stitch on my new cross stitch chart.  It is pretty much all wallpaper!  But it is fun!  Two more lines to go and page one will be done. Notice the lines on the edge?  I place them there to help with counting.  With so many color changes it helps a lot!  Monday I will go back to Rose Sampler for a week.
Now let's share some Sylvia funnies!  The first is when she came down I think yesterday from playing upstairs.  She had ripped the ear off a toy mouse and it stuck on a lower tooth!
And here she is tonight with Jack tickling her as she tried to wash.

Lastly, for those wondering, this is the pattern for the afghan Sylvia was sitting on the last post.  Modern Amish afghan

A big Start...sort of!

You will be so impressed with my big start!  I just had to start on the pattern Jack bought for me so without further ado!
And just look how close I am to being finished on Rose Sampler!

And now for some Sylvia silliness and then to answer a question.

I was asked about what our church does for Christmas.  Well, we have not been able to attend church sine early in the year due to my husband's pain.  However, we attend a Baptist church that is fairly low key and does not go over the top.  There will be a special Christmas eve service although in the year we have attended, we have not gotten to attend.  Driving at night is difficult for me.

Good day!

I got a lovely surprise in the mail today.  A chart I had admired and Jack got it for me!  It will take some time to do but I can not wait to start it!  It is from a company I have not heard of called Sunrays and Herrsschners had it.
I have made a lot of progress on finishing my Rose Sampler as well.  Finish up the border on the bottom and one more alphabet after I finish this one.

We also have begun the first of a few phases of rearranging the living room, moving the sofa into the corner.  Next will be taking the desk upstairs for my sewing and bringing down the dining table.  Then the tv stand will go up for storage and the lower part of the hutch will be used for the tv and the bookcase will be moved across the room.  it will take us time but we will get it.
Jack and I met some sweet kitties Wednesday.  First this one at Petsmart.
And these two at the Springdale Shelter.  They were oh so sweet and cuddly but the one Jack is holding had a streak of orneriness!  He tried to eat my headcovering, bit my finger and slapped Jack's ear!  I played with them while Jack fed cookies to the pooches!

And the best for last.  Sylvia Joy got a new bed for under the coffee table.  Next month she will get another for the bedroom.  Spoiled girl!  And here she is playing with a dog toy gotton for her canine cousins in PA.
