We broke the record for rain in May for Fayetteville AR, over 14 inches and Forst Smith further south has had over 20 inches.

I did see the moon the other evening.

Not much stitching but.....

Well, I did start a crochet project for myself and then tore it up when I found another I liked better.  I will share that with you later in the week.  Meanwhile I am nearly done with what will become a baby afghan.
Here are two cross stitch pieces rescued from a thrift shop last week.

Our kitchen has really shaped up!  Working on the dining room now, finishing the living room and then we will tackle the hobby room.
We had storms all around here, Texas and Oklahoma Monday night.  The sunset that night was pretty and the robins were taking time to enjoy a puddle in between rain.

We also had to buy new knobs for the hutch as one got broken in the move.  We went with a turquoise this time.  Really sets it off to.

Here is Sylvia just being Sylvia!!!!

Busy and fun week

My afghan with leftover yarn will be a baby blanket I have decided.  I have only one row to finish and it will be all done.
Went to the thrift store looking for a table for me to sew on.  Found one and also found these two cross stitch pieces and came home with them.

And today we got replacement knobs for the hutch as one had gotten broken.  They are actually more green than they show up in this picture.
And now for pictures of her majesty. First enjoying her belly rub.
 Surveying her kingdom.
Jack found this funny little sign for me today.  I just love it!
What do you think of the neighbors little play toy?  I always thought they were a bit odd looking but love the color.

We are back!

No stitching to show but a few things to share.  The move was very hard on us and both of us are not quite back to snuff.  We do love it here very much!  It is so quiet and wonderful neighbors too.  Sylvia Joy was very upset and would hardly rest for three days.
But by Sunday she was beginning to become her old self again.

So far the alarm clock, my pie plates and a lamp were broken when Jack took a very bad fall but I was able to break his fall but it could have been worse.  He fell about three times unloading.
Today we took a break from unpacking and went flea marketing.  Jack's workbench will not fit into the room where we will set up for hobbies.  The turn into the room is just too tight.  I found a little dining room table I can sew on and he will take my desk.  We also found two cross stitch pieces (pictures to come later) this rocker and this darling tea set and also a chair for Jack to sit at.
The tea set has scripture from Timothy and is from Dayspring just a town over from us.
Oh and look at the lovely sunset at our new home!

That is all I have to share for now.  Maybe next time I will have pictures of the new place.  Huggles and blessings.

Happy Friday!

Well, I finished the afghan repairs and it is on it's way home.  Sylvia Joy helped me finish it up.
Even with the work around here, after a couple days of no stitching or crocheting I got fidgety and found something to entertain myself with using the yarn left from the afghan repair.  The squares are not to difficult and about 12 inches so it has been quick and fun.
We were blessed with some beautiful sunsets of late.  I can not wait to move and be able to get better pictures, nor will I miss the four dump trucks driving by at dawn just 15 feet from our townhouse! Living next to a storage place is not so glamorous.  LOL!

We have pared down so much stuff that it is all fitting nicely in the dining room.  Bringing things downstairs little by little is easier on it.  Then out the front door it will go and no running upstairs after things. This is before the last four small pieces of furniture come down and the head and foot board.  Not all of it is boxes here.  My dining table and two dining chairs and a cd cabinet are buried in there too.
Silly Sylvia time now.  Wallering a t shirt that escaped the clothes basket.
Watching television.
Being cute.

And napping.
