The Weeks Doings!

I finished a test run on a top I want to crochet. it is actually a beach cover up that was a lot longer than I wanted. I wanted to see how much yardage it would use in the shorter version I wanted. I know now I also want to make a change to the front neckline. Other than that, I am satisfied with it.
I also am working on another cape in black for a friend. The same friend I made the blue one for.
And I am having some fun with some snowmen for another friend.
I am nearly finished sanding this end table and about ready to restain it. It is from the 1950's and is called a dough box sewing end table.
Can you believe I actually did a little cross stitch too? And I do mean a little. Ha, ha! Just some on the basket.

Now for a picture of some horses that live across from the neighborhood Wal mart we use. We enjoy seeing them and some goats down the road from them.
And lastly, Sylvia Joy says hello!

Where Have I been?

I did not fall off the earth as some make think. Jack has been down with his foot this time, so it has been busy for me and little crochet done. He is getting some better now. I have however made a few shamrocks for a friend.
And jack has finished one of his latest pillowcases.

We also had a very, very lovely sunset the other day.
And Sylvia? Well she was just being Sylvia!

Thanks for visiting. Huggles and blessings.

Cross Stitch, crochet and Gorgeousness

I do have cross stitching to share only not mine. Jack is working on pillowcases again. I love the vintage look of them.
I did up some hearts for a friend the last couple days.
And managed a few rows on the latest afghan too.
We also had a lovely, lovely sunset this past week.
My Jack wanted a little ride up Mt. Sequoia. How could I say no? We love it up there. Saw some lovely trees and flowers.

And I can not forget to mention that we had our linen closet inspection. They come around now and then! Sylvia Joy takes the job seriously too!
That hard job then required a cat nap with her favorite fella.
