What a week!

Not a lot done this week. I ended up at the ER on Sunday morning and found out I had cellulitis in my right leg and foot. I had figured as much but was hoping to hang on until Monday to see my own Doctor. So I have been sitting way more than I like and did finish some things. I will wait to show you the cape after I work in ends and add the buttons. Here is a baby blanket I finished. It will soon be on it's way to it's home.
I have a yarn bowl of flags needing stiffened and the beads for stars added.
I also got the front of a pillow finished. The back will be the same but with gold granny squares.
We have had a lot of rain rolling thru of late. I thought this cloud was interesting.
And Bosley across the street was enjoying some time outside while his dad puttered in the garage workshop.
And Sylvia Joy has been in nap mode this week.

So that is about all for this week. Huggles and blessings.

I am very late with this post!

So sorry to be missing so long. A couple days early in the week I felt bad and was ill over the weekend as well. Not a lot of crocheting or anything else done. But I have been working this week on flags for someone.
Also getting very close to the end on the cape for a friend. Sorry for the bad picture, I really need a new camera some day!
I also finished a little cabinet save for some stenciling I want to do on it. It is now being used to sit the television on.
I took some pictures of some lovely wildflowers around our little town. They are so bright and cheery!

Now, are you ready for lots of Sylvia silliness? Here you go, enjoy!

Flags, snowmen and capes

I am doing quite well on the cape for a friend. I have gotten to the section where it is worked in three sections to allow for the openings for your arms. After so many rows, it will join up again.
I also sat yesterday making snowmen bodies. But right now without faces or scarves and hats, they look a lot like bowling pins!
Here are my attempts at making american flags. The bottom one did not quite have the right proportions. I was actually only off by about 5 stitches but what a big difference that made as seen by the top flag which looks much better.
And here will be the next victim of my staining and painting adventure.
Whilst staining the top of the cabinet, I was holding the can of stain and went to set it down. I lost almost a full can of stain when my hand spasmed. It was one heck of a mess as you can see, It got on the garage floor, the wall, and some lumber for shelves and me of course!
This week I also came to the decision to give my china hutch to a Christian thrift store. The china was given to dear friends and it is time for the hutch to bless someone else. I am using this little shelf now to display my pretties. Which also emphasizes that the hutch is a waste of precious space.
Now here is the Queen herself doing the things she enjoys most, playing and sleeping!

Plenty Busy Here!

Been busy here and there with a few things. I am nearly finished with the end table. I can not remember who asked, but no this version of dough box sewing table does not have a magazine rack. We chose a finish called Acorn which we love. It has a red tone to it but is not overly dark. I have only this side to finish up and one side of the top. Jack will then clear coat it.

I also have added another snowman to the gang.
Finished up some bookmarks a friend asked for as well. They were fun.
This weekend I am working on my tablecloth. This is the last band of pineapples. Then it will be open work and one more row of pineapples toward the bottom.

Here is the silly Sylvia Joy!
