Still here and still crocheting!

It was sure a crazy week! We were worn out by Friday. Monday we took Sylvia to the vet. Found out she had an upper respiratory thing going and was trying to get a secondary infection too. after medicine, she is a lot better but still some healing to do. Eating good now though. Then Tuesday was grocery shopping and Wednesday was the signing of our lease! Thursday we just took a ride and had fun! Here are some pictures of the flowers at the complex.

And I have been crocheting some. Finished up my pumpkin and cream doily! I will block it after we get moved.

Working also on a shawl called Snowflake Shawl.
And another doily too.
Can not forget Miss Sylvia. She has wanted to sit on her pallet by my feet the last couple days.
Thanks for visiting. Huggles and blessings.

Sick Cat and Crochet

Little update on Jack's nose. Found out it was also broken up in the bridge area. Nothing to be done for it but let it heal. He now has a permanent bump on his nose. Now this week, Sylvia Joy is ill, eating very little and just not well. A dear friend sent money so we can get her into the vet. We are about tapped out with the move coming up and having to buy a new to use vehicle in October and Jack's accident! Sylvia is still being goofy despite being ill.

Speaking of goofy, this is Bosley across the street. He was out with his dad and the sun plum knocked him out!
A happy did arrive in the mail last week. I won fifteen dollars off at Katie's Mercantile and got this wonderful kitchen apron for just over ten dollars. I love it and there are no ties to fumble with.
Now for the crochet bit. I am trying to finish up this doily before we move in a couple weeks. I will get it done but not this weekend. So I will try next weekend to finish up. The colors are pumpkin and cream.

So that is it for us this week. Huggles and blessings. Thanks for visiting.

A Broken Nose and Crochet

Monday did not go quite as planned! We did our grocery shopping and were putting away groceries when I heard a loud crash as I was heading into the garage. I turned around in time to see cool whip and ice cream go flying and Jack's face bouncing off the kitchen floor. Blood went everywhere! It like to have scared the very life out of me! Once I got him some papertowels and he gathered his wits, off we went to urgent care not far from us. They x rayed his face and they thought only the tip of the nose bone was splintered a bit. We got a call Thursday after the radiologist looked at the films. He found another fracture higher up in his nose around the bridge of the nose. So off to see our primary doctor Monday to see if anything further needs to be done. Here is poor Jack after we got home Monday.

I have managed some crocheting! Finished this piece that Sylvia is modeling. It is called Hawthorn.
I also am working on this one today. I love the pumpkin color! This one is called Artist Tray Mat.
We managed to get a better picture of our apartment from the outside. That is it in the upper left corner. It is invisible from this location in the summer time because of the trees.
Look at this strawberry! The entire carton of them were big but this one sure was the winner in size. They were good too.
Lazy Sylvia this week.

And enjoying Jack brushing her.
