Stitching on a warm weekend

I am getting so close on this one!  Makes me excited to get it done.

Lots going on here!

Thought it might be fun to just mix up everything instead of Sylvia pics, cross stitch pics, etc. so here we go. A nappie on the couch.

Some yummy mayonnaise chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.  You don't taste the mayo but oh are they ever moist!

Here is Gathering Eggs.  I am working on what jack and I call cotton candy trees because of the pink colors.

Monday stitchies and kitty too!

Jack's baby quilt is getting very close to being done.  To say he is excited is a bit of an understatement!  LOL!

Some polka dot curtains I made for our bedroom out of sheets.  Really is simple to do!

A nice little table we bought from a little used furniture store.  Nice to have one again.

Not a lot of progress on Gathering Eggs.  I felt rough one night getting little done and none done the next couple or so.

Now let's have some fun with Sylvia Joy.  Here she is under the table.  She was hiding behind some fabric I was cutting a jumper out of.

Here is my Gathering Eggs.  I am working in the upper left corner.  Not much progress but it is good to be stitching.  I am to worn out after an outing today to stitch.

Surgery News

My tumor was benign as I had believed it would be.  I got to come home the day of my surgery which made me happy.  Despite two types of meds to keep me from vomiting, no one told my tummy and I vomited three times which hurt like the blue blazes!  That night I also got an allergy attack and a violent coughing spell caused some minor bleeding but I am fine.  I tried sleeping in the bed Friday night but my flip flopping caused bleeding and so I am out in Jack's recliner again!  It is a huge thing and you can stretch out flat if you want so it works.  Sylvia played nurse Thursday and Friday night sleeping with me. I have not needed pain meds since Saturday morning early which suits me and today I have even managed to stitch some so maybe a stitchy post will be coming soon.  I go to see the doctor Friday and I expect good news.  I do have some numbness on my chin and neck but I don't know if that is normal or not.  Oh well.  Here are a couple pictures for you.  Me not looking so red hot with my rosecea flaring up this morning.

My beloved Jackster has been so awesome and taken such good care of me.  Don't know what I would do without him!  Blessings and huggles.

 And here is the first border on Gathering Eggs done.  I have a simple one color, single row border next.  I have also started cross stitching in the upper left corner.

This is my last post for a few days.  I have my surgery to remove at least half of my thyroid because of a tumor.  Not sure how soon I will feel like stitching but i will see you soon.  huggles and blessings.

I am so close to having the border done on Gathering Eggs.  Maybe I can have it done before surgery.  I do have one more color to add to it later on the outside of the checker part.

 Sylvia Joy was trying to watch me take the picture of my stitching.  She fell asleep!  LOL!

Look at Jack's baby quilt!  So cute and he is really zipping along.

Okay, you may think I have lost all sense but these twin size sheets will become our bedroom curtains.  I love the lace ones we have in there but with our windows facing east, it is to bright in the mornings.

And here is Gathering Eggs.  I am working on the border now and then will do the rest.  I may try to work just on this one until finished.

I was busy on my latest project, Plum and gold.  Love the colors on it.

I couldn't remember if I had done anymore on this since last time, so here it is again regardless.  LOL!

It was brought to my attention that sometimes it takes a very long time for my blog to load up.  Most likely it is the picture size so you will notice they are a little smaller.  I hope they will be big enough!  huggles and blessings.
