In my world this week......

I had an order for 24 snowflakes.  Here they are being prepared for stiffening by working in ends.
And I have been cross stitching a bit today.  Did more tearing out then making progress!
And I have picked out my next cross stitch project too.
It is from this magazine.
A few of our trees still have some lovely color on them here in the neighborhood. The first picture was taken in the rain we are having today.

Now for lots of Sylvia pictures.  Relaxing...

Box sitting...
Being annoyed at mom.....
And stealing my seat!
That is my week in a nutshell. Thanks for visiting.  Huggles and blessings.

Bedspread finish!

At last the bedspread is finished.  I almost felt a bit lost after it was done! Next year I want to do a tablecloth for a big project.

I am working on my grape doily since my purple thread arrived today.  The camera is being very feisty so no picture. We had some lovely clouds the other day.
I am also now working on another vintage doily.  It is enjoyable but the elongated stitches about drove me batty!
Here is little Miss sylvia washing the acreage as we call it.
Anyone for a kitty nose boop?
Unfortunately, Sylvia Joy became very ill Tuesday night into Wednesday.  She was so cold and her breathing so shallow I was very scared we might lose her and she threw up so much she had nothing left in her.  We kept her warm on her little bed in the bedroom and gave her sugar water. She seemed a bit better Wednesday night but had one more bout of throwing up.  By thursday, I was giving her little bites of food.
Here she is feeling a bit better Thursday morning napping in the sun.

By Last night she was again up on the back of the sofa.  She still has a ways to go and is still mainly eating little bits and sleeping.  We believe she ate something that made her ill/
I was nervous needless to say while she was so sick so I rearranged things and made room for our little computer desk.
Hung this little picture above it.
So thanks for visiting.  Huggles and blessings.  See you next week!

Windy Wednesday stitching!

Well hello!  I have been trying my hand at making new curtain tie backs.  My little tomato ones did not hold up so well.  These are pretty but very painful on my hands.  If I do continue on, it will take a bit of time to make the four I need.
And I am making progress on the Rosewood Manor piece.  The little saying area is done and now I am doing the dark green of the border.
We had another beautiful sunset last night!
Miss Sylvia watching the world from her tree.  She had just spend some time playing and being a complete nut, I guess that tired her out.

Crisp cool fall days!

I love the cooler fall weather!  My skin is happier and I can actually be outside and enjoy myself without itching.  And I get treated to a lovely sunset like this one.

Have you heard about the Green Light A Vet campaign?  It is a way to honor military veterans.  We have ours going.
Okay now onto crafting!  I finished up a top I started before Jack had the flair up with his foot. Next I will make a skirt to go with it for Sunday church going.
Started and finished a couple goodies for two special sisters.

And other than working on my bedspread this week that is about all my craftiness.  Time for a little Sylvia Joy fun.

Thanks for visiting.  Blessings and huggles.

A bit late but anyway....

I am back.  My beloved Jack is still being troubled some by his foot and knee.  But he is walking some better today and no more crutches.  This is what his poor foot has looked like.
Now onto the fun stuff.  I am putting the border around the phrase on the Rosewood Manor piece. Hoping to get more done on it this week.  I may tackle the rest of the border.
I am also doing a bit on this scarf.  I just really wanted to try this color and this pattern.  I have no idea who it will go to yet.
Much progress is being made on the bedspread as you can see.  Jack came up with the wonderful idea of a different color for the border.  We decided a light coffee color would be nice.  Not sure yet what I will do with the border.  I have an idea but we shall see.

Someone thought she would steal a nap.  Can you find her?
We have had another glorious, lovely sunset this week.

And someone we know has been in hibernate mode this week.  The temperatures have been cooler and that makes for a nappy Sylvia.
