Cold day=crochet the day away!

Jack is down now with his knee poor guy.  Looks more like two knees instead of one.  But I still managed plenty of crochet.  I worked on Jack's vest, and repairing the afghan and finished up the prayer shawl.  Here it is.
I also started on my heavy winter shawl for next winter.
It was cold out today and spitted a little now at us this afternoon.  My ears about froze off taking trash out.
Meanwhile, last night, Sylvia about got me in the eye again.  I tell you that girl is dangerous!
Before the knee flair up, Jack managed to finish hanging my shelves.  He still has little use of his right hand but he has learned to adapt.  He sees a specialist at the end of March.

So thanks very much for visiting!  Come back soon.  Huggles and blessings.

A little stitching!

I mostly am working on one doily this week but have put it aside for now to work on a prayer shawl.  Here is where I stand on the doily now.
And this is the prayer shawl I am working on.  It is really easy to do and will be done soon.
With the snow melting off the porch roof last week.  We ended up with some interesting bushes!  I especially like the berries encased in ice.  The snow picture was of a quick snowburst a day or so ago.

I was trying to remove the sheets to wash and had some help!
And I just really do love kitty toes!
The usual winter hibernation!

Monte Ne trip

Last week before all the winter weather, Jack and I went to a one time resort called Monte Ne.  Most of it is now under Beaver lake.  You can learn more and see interesting photos here >MonteNe
This is the only building above the lake level.

 Not sure what this was.

 Or this.
We also saw some birds fishing there also.  And some ducks.

Old buildings we thought were interesting.

 Thought this was neat!

Thanks for coming with us on our little outing.  Huggles and blessings.

Chilly hello!

Well hello there!  We had a bit of an ice and snow event this weekend and it was pretty cold but nice to look at.

I need a break from crochet flowers so am spending my time on Jack's vest and I have three doilies going too.  The first one is a pattern I have had for a long time and I had to recopy as it was well near worn out.  I had started a project with the pattern years ago and the doily was accidentally destroyed so trying again.
This one is a lovely pinwheel doily.  I just love the movement in it and had to do it.
This one is just because I can!  LOL!
Now look what a mess sylvia made last night playing with a pinecone.

I guess it wore her out as well!
Thanks for visiting.  Huggles and blessings.

Slow week for stitching but....

I did work out a tulip pattern.  Doesn't look like much right now but still have to do his bottom and the pistils inside of him.
Now enjoy some funny sylvia pictures!

Here I am!

Been another of those weeks this past week.  Jack's cellulitis is getting worse again so back to the doctor for another round of antibiotics.  I have done precious little crochet and no cross stitch this week.  Yesterday my facebook friend of several years passed away at the age of 24 years.  She was ready and prepared to go but her body was strong enough to keep her hanging on for quite some time.  Sweet Jacinda Gore will be greatly missed.
I did manage a couple sunflowers this week.
Here are the flowers I have done so far.  Still have finishing details on most.
Say, have you been able to view the space station where you are?  See the little blip in the picture?  That is it.
And I almost forgot that I am working on another doily.
Working now also on the front of Jack's vest.  Slow going with it being in single crochet but it is fun!
Now here is the Sylvia Joy show!

Leaving you with a shot of the moon from last night.  Not the best picture but my camera is ornery anymore.
Huggles and blessings and thanks for visiting.
