What have I been up to?

Took a pic of these flowers in the back yard after Jack and I potted up our tomato and squash plants.
And then been up to this.  I ran out of a color and no extras on my rainbow bridge so I picked this quick stitch up.  Just need to attach the beads for the flowers and it will be ready to frame using fabric and dowels.  It is my own design, nothing fancy but I like it.
So that is about it for now.  It has been rainy for so many days nothing much going on.  have a wonderful day and God bless.  Huggles.

Horses, afghans and cross stitch

I saw this going down the street the other day. The wagon was really nicely decorated but I couldn't get my camera soon enough to catch it close to the house.

I am finishing up an afghan for a baby in our church. I am behind on getting it done. But it will be ready to give to her this Sunday.  The pattern is from Red Heart called Sunshine Blanket.
And here is progress on The Rainbow Bridge.  Not much more to go at all.
And so there you have it.  Not much more going on.  Huggles and blessings.

Jack saw this rooster heading down the alley crowing up a storm.
I got this look from the robin who decided to set up shop on the carport.
And I caught our resident bunsie taking a bath.
So how was your weekend?  Hope it was blessed and may your week be blessed as well.  Huggles.

Well hello again!

Well I completed this curtain for the laundry room in one day. But don't be impressed. It is another of my recycle jobbie do's. The chicken fabric valence was one I had made for my kitchen window and the lace is the one remaining panel from a pair of lace curtains. Add the two together, throw in some ribbon and voila! LOL! I need to do a little more fluffing so it looks nicer.

Here is Jack's project. It is a fair bit of work but is gonna look really nice. We did manage to do some cross stitching together today.
And here is mine.  I have only to finish the little hamster, a couple dogs, and birds and it will be on to the last chart!  Yippee!
So that is it for today.  We are off tommorrow to pick up our floor tile.  I can not wait to see that lovely pomegranite red in person!  God bless and keep you and huggles!

Stitching, sewing, and mower repair

It was such a nice day and Jack's pain was under control enough we repaired his mower today by putting on a new starter. Jack used the old office chair from his shop and sometimes sat on the ground.
And here is the always present assistant/gopher! LOL! I must be thinking hard, look at that scowl!

Jack has picked up his stitching again.  He has gotten pretty good at stretching out on the sofa to keep his knee happy and cross stitch!  Hey, whatever it takes!

I put down the crochet for just a bit to do a little more work on Rainbow Bridge.  I am so close to being done I may just keep at it until I finish it.

The first bedroom curtain is finished!  Three more to go.  I changed my mind on what I would make for in there.  The others would have needed a shade to cover the entire window and one thing I can not stand is a shade making all that noise at night when the wind comes through the window in the summer.  We sleep with windows open since we don't have central air unless it is really hot and it would be cooler to run the window a/c in the den.  It is taking a bit longer to do than a normal curtain since I am putting a white liner to keep the sun from ruining these like it did my green plaid ones.

Well that is it for this post.  We are counting the days until the 27th when Jack goes to the ortho doctor to see what they need to do about the pain and the moderate fluid in the knee.  Jack still needs strong pain meds to keep the pain under control and on a bad day even that is small relief.  Huggles and God bless for now.

Spring is bursting out everywhere!

Here is row one of the crochet quilt. You can visit Happy Yellow House to see her wonderful patterns
The daffodils are bloomin all over the place. Here are couple pics.

Jack is still having a lot of pain but he is able to be a bit more active. We actually got to go to church today! It was a wonderful service too. So God bless until next time and huggles to all!
