A better week!

Well we both felt well enough to bake goodies and deliver to our local police and fire and to our landlord as well. We also have been surprised by some lovely presents from friends. One sent these lovely items.

Another sent this.
And another sent this.
Sylvia Joy got a mousie toy from her doggie cousins in PA. She loves it,

She has also been quite the kitty of leisure.

And she has fallen in love with an envelope!
Did you see the Christmas full moon tonight.  Very lovely it is!

Thanks for visiting. Huggles and blessings.

Short Post

Well, it has been quite the week here! Jack is having a lot of swelling and pain in both knees and one foot.  he was totally unable to walk Monday and Tuesday so I had to transfer him to an office chair to even get him around the house. A friend traded me a walker for some snowflakes I had made for her so it is making a world of difference for Jack now. He named the walker Snowflake.
Then I burnt my hand on the oven later in the week, and got sick with some horrible virus causing pain and swelling in my abdomen and horrible fatigue.  I finally could go no more by Saturday and just had to rest.  Really still very tired today. Yesterday jack did as much as he could to help out even sitting in the office chair to clean my floors. We have been subsisting mainly on soup as I have not had the energy to cook much else.  Today i have managed to get a ham in the slow cooker.
Before I got sick, I did manage to get my sewing desk home! Mr. Robin across the way helped me to bring it into the garage.  I put it on the hand truck and got it into the den.
Speaking of Mr. Robin, this is his buddy Bosley, a shepherd/pitbull mix. I got him some nylabones for Christmas.

Yesterday afternoon Mr. Robin brought cookies still warm from the oven!
Sylvia Joy has also turned into super kitty.
Last night we were surprised by our local police and a float of folks.  I believe they were distributing things to needy folks.

So that is all I have for now.  Need another rest.  huggles and blessings.

Snowflaking still!

I totally forgot to post last night.  Having to much fun figuring out a tablecloth I will be finishing for a friend.  But here I am now.  Still got plenty of snowflaking going on.

And the tablecloth is growing a little.
And Sylvia is being quite herself lately which makes me happy.

This is what we find in our bedroom nearly every morning. Hurts when you step on one.
And we had a stunning sunset last night.
Thanks for visiting.  Huggles and blessings.

Snow flurries!

Hello!  I am afraid I am buried in a snow flurry of my own making.  I have 28 of 60 snowflakes to finish and get out by Christmas with another 5 dozen to do after Christmas.  I will be doing them in my sleep! But I love doing for those who ask for them,

I am also sneaking in a row or two on the tablecloth with the lovely butter yellow thread Jack surprised me with.
He also surprised me with this lovely picture that was half off.
Of course I can not leave you without plenty of Sylvia pictures.  She is feeling quite herself again and playing and just happy as can be.

Thanks for visiting.  Huggles and blessings.

In my world this week......

I had an order for 24 snowflakes.  Here they are being prepared for stiffening by working in ends.
And I have been cross stitching a bit today.  Did more tearing out then making progress!
And I have picked out my next cross stitch project too.
It is from this magazine.
A few of our trees still have some lovely color on them here in the neighborhood. The first picture was taken in the rain we are having today.

Now for lots of Sylvia pictures.  Relaxing...

Box sitting...
Being annoyed at mom.....
And stealing my seat!
That is my week in a nutshell. Thanks for visiting.  Huggles and blessings.

Bedspread finish!

At last the bedspread is finished.  I almost felt a bit lost after it was done! Next year I want to do a tablecloth for a big project.

I am working on my grape doily since my purple thread arrived today.  The camera is being very feisty so no picture. We had some lovely clouds the other day.
I am also now working on another vintage doily.  It is enjoyable but the elongated stitches about drove me batty!
Here is little Miss sylvia washing the acreage as we call it.
Anyone for a kitty nose boop?
Unfortunately, Sylvia Joy became very ill Tuesday night into Wednesday.  She was so cold and her breathing so shallow I was very scared we might lose her and she threw up so much she had nothing left in her.  We kept her warm on her little bed in the bedroom and gave her sugar water. She seemed a bit better Wednesday night but had one more bout of throwing up.  By thursday, I was giving her little bites of food.
Here she is feeling a bit better Thursday morning napping in the sun.

By Last night she was again up on the back of the sofa.  She still has a ways to go and is still mainly eating little bits and sleeping.  We believe she ate something that made her ill/
I was nervous needless to say while she was so sick so I rearranged things and made room for our little computer desk.
Hung this little picture above it.
So thanks for visiting.  Huggles and blessings.  See you next week!
