Just crafting away!

I wanted to take a picture of our bed after we covered the beat up headboard with an afghan.  Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone so I had a little fun with it using my photoscape program.

Here is the heart doily I am working on.  I am just now beginning the bottom of the hearts.

Jack is now working on a wall quilt.  It is all one color so he is having quite a good time!  He is easy to please!

Really Sylvia is not sleepy, she just squints most of the time when I take her picture!

Thanks for visiting this short post.  Blessings and huggles.

A Stitching we will go!

Here is the little turtle bib Jack is working on.  Colorful little rascal!

And here is my Bluebird Sampler.  I am having a blast with it!

I decided today was a good day to make a peach kuchen.  It came out really well!

Here is the simple recipe.

Peach Kuchen

Crust: 1 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 cup butter.
Blend dry ingredients and cut in butter to resemble coarse crumbs. Pat lightly into 13 by 9 inch pan. Set aside

Filling: 1 29 oz. can of peaches drained, 2 eggs, 1 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, 1 cup sour cream. Beat sugar into eggs, add sour cream, and flour and whisk until smooth. Set aside. Arrange peaches on crust and then pour egg mixture over top. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes and then at 350 for about 20 minutes or until set.

Try other cooked fruits for a change.

Here is Miss Sylvia Joy relaxing in the living room.

And here she is on the window sill in our hobby room.  I will tell you she startled me when she popped up!

Another finish for Jack!

I got a start on my Bluebird Sampler by Rosewood Manor.  I needed a break from my stained glass pieces.

Jack finished his fishy bib and now he is doing a turtle bib.  Cute little fish isn't he?

This is where I left off on my Sunburst cross Stitch piece.

Now here is Sylvia having a little fun on her cat tree as usual!

Thanks for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.

Stitching, sewing and plenty of fun.

I spent a full day tea dying this piece of fabric for my next project.  The lightest area actually is darker in person and looks nice.

This is what I will be doing on the fabric.  I have been looking for a piece of fabric in my things big enough for it and finally did.

Been playing around with a beaded dragonfly idea to.  Not quite what I want but close.

Now that Jack has the baby quilt done, He is working on a couple bibs for the lady below us who is expecting a little girl soon.  She has two boys so she is excited!

Finished up my latest jumper.  Boy, I will look like a granny apple!  LOL!  I love it though.

Progress on "Plum & Gold" the last couple days.

Nearly done with the first half of "Sunburst" so that is good!

Now for a couple silly pictures of our girl!  She never ceases to amuse us!

Huggles and blessings and thanks for the visit.

We have a finish! Hooray for jack!

Jack got this book for me when we were at Wal-Mart.  He knows I love to make these little creatures and give to children.

And here is Jack's finished Baby Quilt.  It is so pretty and will soon be going to it's home!

My first attempt at kool aid dying.  Over all I am pleased with my practice piece save for the muddy part at the bottom.  I was going for sunrise and didn't quite make it!  I will though.

My progress on the Plum and Gold Stain glass piece.  I do wish the marbled sage green fabric showed up better.

And here we are with a couple pics of the girl.  Enjoying a nap and then playing on her new tree.

Thanks for the visit.  Blessings and huggles.

Sunday Greetings.

The very lovely and very nearly done baby quilt Jack is working on.

I am coming along on the doily.  I really like the colors to and the way they are playing out.  I am on row 22 of 29.

I would be done with Gathering Eggs but I can not find my beading needles!  AGGGH!  Jack and I will tear into things this week and hopefully find them.

After being unsure of her kitten tree as we call it, sylvia Joy is loving her new townhouse!  LOL!

Thank you for visiting!  Blessings and huggles.

I am back!

We have had lots of appointments the last few days and been having a little fun on some country drives.  Here is a barn we both liked.

I also started a doily for our dining table.  The color is called Passionata but I forget what brand it is.  It will have pineapples in the design which I really like.

Gathering Eggs is nearly finished but I am getting a bit burned out so it is slow going.  Almost there though.

I finished another jumper today.  I have a couple more pieces of fabric that will be here tomorrow for a couple more jumpers.  There will also be fabric for a pair of pajama bottoms for Jack.

This is the tiny sheriff office branch here in town.  I mean it is little!

And of course our silly girl Sylvia!

Thanks for visiting and God bless.  huggles.
