Cross stich and crochet. Picture Heavy

Well, I am nearly done with Jack's vest.  He asked for it to be oversized some for wearing a heavy shirt under so it is.  And he wanted the navy edged in off white.
I also am making progress on my doily.  It is still slow going though.

I wanted also to show some older pieces that we have both done.  Jack does stamped cross stich as many of you know.  Here are two of his wall quilts.

And one of my favorite with the cute bunny couple.
And a couple of my old pieces.  The quilt one was done in 1992 and the other in the 1980's.

Hope you enjoyed that.  Now for the Sylvia fun.  She and I had a little play time this afternoon.
After that, she needed a nap!  Make that many naps!

A Finish!

I am calling my vest a finish but I do need to add the ties. Now I am finishing up Jack's vest.
We had some storms role thru this week.
Made for a very pretty sunset though last night.  I really enjoyed watching the sky change as the sun set.

Our neighbors little kitty loves to come visit and she helped me take pictures last night.  She is a bit shy but loves pets.
And here is Indiana Mugs in the deep cavern called a linen closet.  I tried to convince her to take the towels to the laundry room for me.  Didn't work!
However, she was fortunate last night that parking herself be the cookie jar got her cookies.

Almost there!

Well I am all done save for the edging on my vest.  And although I do not have a picture I am getting close on Jack's vest.  Pardon the poor quality of the picture.  I believe my camera is close to pooping out!
Only a little over 20 rows to go on the doily.
And of course our girl Sylvia lounging on the sofa!

Short post I know, but thanks for visiting.  Huggles and blessings.

A tad late but...

My vest is getting very close!  I have 6 of 9 pattern repeats done and Then I will only have the front and back arm and neck shaping to do.
Look what my Jack bought for me!  More jars in purple this time. I love them for storage and they will be used.  One is already holding my pencils for coloring.
Did you realize this weekend you can see Jupiter hanging out with the moon?  Here he is just to the upper right of the moon.

And another sunset shot just because.
Time for Sylvia Joy!!!!!

Well, folks I am diabetic now and on a medicine for it. My liver function is still out of whack but better.   Happily the other things that were off on my test are a good thing and are such because I am so good about drinking the right amount of water!  Huggles and blessings and thanks for visiting.

A Rainy Day Post

I have felt pretty good so I am working on a doily and am half way done now.
I am also working on a vest for myself.  The purple is actually more of an eggplant color than what this shows.
Sunday afternoon I whipped out some beet tie backs for a curtain between the laundry room and kitchen.
Here is the link for the square I did on the baby afghan for those who might want it.  Romantique
A lovely sunset a couple days ago.  Now we are due to get rain and a lot of it from a tropical storm.  Something we do not need.
Here comes some Sylvia chill out pictures!

Happy Friday

Well, I have made some progress on my bedspread.  Not been doing a lot but a little here and there.
That is all the stitching I have to show for now sadly.  I am having some health issues which leaves me not feeling too well most days.  My bloodwork was a mess when they took it Friday so next week back to the doctor for battle plans.  So I will mostly be posting just once a week.  But enough of that!  We are nearly finished setting up the living room.  One more window needs curtains and eventually the dresser without drawers will gain shelves.

And now for our girl Sylvia Joy stealing crochet hooks, begging for tummy rubs and napping!
