Short But Sweet

Not much stitching going on here with a hubby having a gout flair up in his knee.  Still I have managed a little stitching and crochet.  Here is the Names Of Jesus piece.  i am on the last few names now so it's getting close.
And I am close to finishing another pair of the boot slippers for a friend.  I will also make a pair for his wife.
And I can't go without a few Sylvia pictures.

 Thanks for

A Little Of This & That

I wanted to post last night but a very nasty migrane made me wait.  The crazy thing stuck with me thru the morning today as well.  I feel much better now just tired from it.
We stopped by our favorite thrift store this week and came home with a coffee table.  We like it because it is not the usual rectangle shape.
I also made a pair of slipper boots for Jack and have started on another pair for a friend.  They are not very hard and I like the way they look.  the pattern can be found here->boot slippers

And the Names of Jesus piece is getting very close to a finish!  I have enjoyed it as much as the many others I have done.
Sylvia has taken a real liking to the pillow on the sofa and it is often her favorite place to nap so I leave you with a picture of her on it.

Happy Monday hobbies!

Jack has been blessed with less leg pain this week.  His flag piece is finished and now he is working on quilt squares that was given to him.  I am going to town on the Names Of Jesus piece.

And I have finished the hexagons for some houseshoes for Jack.  I am working on the sloes now and soon they will be done.
Yesterday we took a drive up to the highest mountain in Fayetteville AR.  I could have sat there all day.

And we were granted a lovely sunset today!

Mustn't forget our girl!  Here she is doing what she does best...relaxing!

More finishes? Can It be?

For Penelope who asked where Jack got his baby quilt topper, he bought it online at Herrschner's.  Not sure if they still sale it or what the name of it is.  Okay so one finish is simply one I forgot to take a picture of.  Here is the Daisy doily for Jack's fmaily member.
Then someone asked me about making a bracelet pattern she had found.  These rascals are so fast and simple I am having a good time with it.  You can find the pattern here-> Bracelet
And Jack is sure to finish up his flag tonight.  Not sure what he will be up to next.
Can't leave without a couple pictures of Sylvia!

A finish for Michelle!

I actually have two finishes but I took one upstairs forgetting to take a picture.  We will just save that one for next time.  Here is a hat I made for a sweet 15 year old with leukemia.  I do hope she likes it.
And here is the bit I have been working on on the names of Jesus piece.
And jack is well on the way with a smaller and fun project.
And I am also working on a shawl for a lady who lost her 33 year old daughter last year.
We had a storm roll in  at twenty of five this afternoon.  Jack took a picture of it rolling in.  It got dark enough for the street light to come on.
Can't forget our girl!  she is watching Jack stitch and I am sure she is trying to figure out how to get his thread!

A Finish By Jack

Jack finished up his baby quilt last night.  Now we will find the perfect fabric for the back and get it completely done.  It is so adorable.

And i have had a good go on my Names Of Jesus project as well.
I wanted to design my own square for a vest idea I have.  This is the first go.
I like everything but the last row so this one is the winner.

And look who was napping on a white doily and a cut out ready to sew skirt!
Do you love buttons as much as I do.  These were my grandmother's and my mother's buttons.

Thanks for the visit!  huggles and blessings.
