A Roll In The Sun & Cross Stitching too!

Sylvia Joy was having quite a nice roll in the sun this morning!
Whenever Jack is in a good deal of pain with his legs, he often has to lay on the floor for relief.  It never fails that Sylvia will come and rest beside him for a bit as if she is checking on him.
Just enjoying the window yesterday in time for the birds to be very active close by.
I have made some nice progress on the Gathering Eggs project.
Still working on the angels wings.
I tried to do a close up of her wing to show you.  However the grey is very pale and doesn’t show well!
So thank you for visiting!  hope to see you again soon.  Blessings and huggles.

A visit from the "Frog"!

Oh yes the dreaded “frog” came to visit.  You will notice in the previous post my Nora Corbett piece looked like this:
And this is what it looks like today:
I had to tear out a huge portion of the white and some of the green.  You would think with 40+ years of cross stitching I could count!  LOL!  Just goes to show anyone can have one of those days when sewing.
Here is the Guardian Angel by L&L.  Coming along very nicely and no frogging!
Now let’s enjoy a laugh with Miss Sylvia!  We bought her some kitty grass to nibble on.  It is sitting on the window sill to sprout and little Miss Nosy had to check it out.
And here Jack placed the sheets on the bed to be folded in a few minutes.  Now what self respecting cat could resist such a wonderful surprise!
And here just napping on the loveseat on her piece of velvet.  Ahh, the life of a princess is so tiring!
Thank you so much for visiting and come again!  Huggles and blessings.

Busy Monday but let's visit!

Enjoying the afghan on the bed!

My L&L Angel is getting her wings finally!  Seems like I have been working on her forever!

And here is my little girl gathering her eggs.  Well at least part of her is here!

Pleanty of stitching and a silly cat

I have finally finished the tan part of Guardian Angel’s dress.  I believe I will do the wings next and then finish the green on her dress.
I also have a good start on Gathering Eggs.  I think it is going to be a fun stitch!  Can you tell what it is?
Sylvia Joy has been a very silly girl tonight.  She crawled under the hutch and was peeking out!

Added a Project

I have decided to add another project.  I usually do like having a couple things going at once sometimes even more than a couple.  So I have added a piece by Nora Corbett from the April 1998 Cross Stitch and Needlework magazine.  I will be doing it on a piece of buff color aida which is actually darker than it shows in the picture.
Gathering Eggs
I was down with a migrane yesterday but I did get some done on my L&L piece the evening before.  I am going to take another day away from it to get a good start on my latest addition.
Close up of the work area.
Here is the entire piece.

Picking on kitty and stitching to!

I just could not resist having a little fun with these pictures I took of Sylvia last night.  She was on a roll and having the time of her life playing behind and around a picture that has yet to be hung.

And here is the progress on my angel.  I would have been even further along but I had a visit from “the frog”.  Grrr!

Great Day For Stitching

It has been a great day for stitching and I have gotten a lot done on my project. The tan area of her dress is pretty easy to do so it has allowed me to really zip along.

I had a little fun with Sylvia yesterday and took this picture.  I mean if you can’t pick on the pets, what can you do?
Gotta love that cat!
I am already planning and scheming what I want to do next.  Gonna be one of these three.

Rainy days, Cross Stitch & Kitty Sillies

Sometimes we like to give Sylvia a bit of yarn to play with.  She loves it and this time she strung it from the living room to the kitchen and into the bedroom.  It is fun to string it over the bar and play with it when we are in the kitchen.

Here is my stitchy progress on L&L's Guardian Angel.  I needed a bit of a break from all the green, so I am working on the brown/tans at the lower edge of her gown.

Thanks for visiting!  We have been enjoying much needed rain the last couple days or so and for January the temps are not bad!  Blessings and huggles.

Stitchy Monday and Tuesday

This is a crochet piece I did for the back of the toilet.  It is supposed to be an afghan pattern done in panels. I like to re purpose though!

Guardian angel by Lavender and Lace is shaping up.  I am working in the lower left corner right now.  And I am gonna try to get the center part of her gown done.  I will have to buy more metallic floss as I ran out but I needed an excuse to go to Hobby Lobby anyway!

Now that Sylvia has discovered that a south facing window gets sun most of the day, she is loving it!  Not much needed to make her happy!
Well, that is my short but sweet post for now.  Thanks for coming to visit!  And if you prefer wordpress, you can now visit me there as well.  The link is at the top of my blog.  Huggles and blessings.
