Remodeling fun

Destructo Jack taking out one cheaply made, ugly to boot, nasty old vanity!

Da tah!  After the vanity and sink was removed and shut off valves installed.  See the green on the wall?  Originally it appears to have a pedestal sink which means they have bracing in the wall already which will make it easier for us!

Stitchy Reward!

Jack has finished one quilt square my Grams had started and he is well on the way with another square.

This is my progress on my piece.  it is going really quickly and the colors are so vivid and lovely!

So that is it for us here.  We are sore and tired but content!  Huggles and blessings.

Cross Stitch

Here is my finish!  I love the way it came out!

Now I am working on this piece from Joyful Expressions called “Fruit of the Spirit.”  It will be 8 x 10 inches..  Sandra has such a wonderful way with color!  They are so bright and pretty.

And here is Jack’s finish!  It came out so wonderful and beautiful.  He is glad to be working on something easier for now though!

Raining hot water?

It was so warm and humid and sunny as it was raining this afternoon briefly, that I wondered if the rain was boiling!  LOL!

Well, all the cross stitching is done.  Now just a little outline work and it will be finished!  I could hardly make myself go to bed last night knowing that!

I was going thru my magazines and everything and of course I had some help from her furriness.

“Yes mom I did help rearrange the things you don’t want.  Wasn’t I supposed to?”  I will be giving away all the magazines and charts I don’t want sometime down the road.

Flower Power

Thought you might like to see flowers again!  Our surprise lilies came up.  I surely enjoy them.  A little butterfly visiting the meadow sage and the other succulent continues to open it’s blooms.

Cross Stitching

The big leaf in the lower  right is cross stitched now and I am working on another bird.  It is lovely shades of lemony yellow.  It is getting close to being finished.

Crochet & Cross Stitch

A little bit of progress on my cross stitch.  I would have gotten more done but most of the week I had a migrane.

Got two more dishcloths done this weekend.  I am having fun with them!

How Dry Is it?

This is our well baked yard.  Little rain for a very long while.  It was 104 yesterday and 109 today but it could be worse!  I will leave it in the Lord’s hands.

This page is at last done and I am on the last one finally.  I did make a change.  Do you notice how the leaf under the word “mankind” is?

This is how it was on the chart.  To me and to Jack as well it looked odd and I didn’t like it at all.  I am much happier with it now.

This will be my next piece.  It is from my friend Sandra at Joyful Expressions   I will work it on a chamois colored piece of aida.
