Heading down the pig trail!

Today is my Jack's 65rd birthday. I set up a surprise card shower for him using facebook. He has gotten 40 or more cards.
I baked him a mayo cake with cream cheese frosting and then we headed out for a drive down 16 highway known here as the pig trail. Perfect temperatures for a ride!

Found this lovely little church as well.
On the way home we stopped at Lake Sequoia to stretch our legs.

And Miss sylvia was not impressed by our absence!
Lastly, look at this wonderful old house we passed. If only it could talk! I wonder about the laughter and tears it has seen.
Huggles and blessings and thanks for visiting.

Happy Birthday to Mr Jack! Cream cheese frosting is the best frosting ever, yum yum. :D

Lovely drive; my husband and I enjoy random rides too. I like old houses like that, so much character!

I just love that Sylvia's always there to give her impressions. ~smile~
I've been trying to find Pig Trail, and can't figure out exactly where it is. It sounds like it might be a nice fall foliage drive. That's on my bucket list you know!
Blessings,

Happy Birthday Jack! I love those old houses I think it is a shame that they aren't preserved you just know that at one time they were the pride and joy of some homeowner. Miss Sylvia is looking good as always and congrats on your new vehicle.
