Long Time No See!

Well, last week started out wonderful but ended with Jack down with his knee so that kept me busy. We did get to meet with a friend we had not seen in 17 years when she came to town with her new boyfriend. That was a grand day! The rest of the week went downhill but we are doing better this week. Here is Judy and Jim.
All of us at Cracker Barrel taken by a sweet lady for us we did not even know!
Judy's darling doggie Sissy came to visit as well.
I have been managing to crochet and finished my friends afghan this week.

Working on snowmen another friend has ordered three dozen of. He needs his hat yet.
She also wants three dozen angels and another friend ordered twenty.
Okay now this yarn you will most likely hate or love. Jack bought it for me a couple or so years ago. I love it! It is what is called mill end and they are very inexpensive. I auditioned a couple patterns but nothing felt right until this week! I got a trial issue of I Love Crochet magazine. In there was a shawl with a four row hexagon I liked. My hexagon is quite a bit bigger and will become an afghan. The yarn is very soft and not so bad to work with. I will add hexagons in other shades using Lion Brand homespun.

And what, you ask, has the Queen herself been up too? well see for yourself.

And lastly, we have been having some lovely sunsets the last couple weeks.

Huggles and blessings. Thanks for visiting.

What Am I Up To this Week?

Well first I have been working on painting the inside of my little table. Need a couple more coats.
One more row done on the friend's afghan and another about ready to add.
Playing with a doily with a lovely color called eggnog from Hobby Lobby.
But most fun of all, laughing at a very silly kitty named Sylvia.

Cold, snow and Crochet

We had a beautiful sunset the other day before clouds, cold and snow set in. Not a lot of snow but lovely to look at.

This week I have been crocheting washclothes as a surprise for someone.
And working on an afghan for another friend who ordered it.

And our Sylvia Joy has been silly and cuddly in this single digit weather. Kitty cuddles are nice, and I do not mind the cold either.

Huggles and blessings and thanks for visiting.

I have been busy this week!

I do have some finishes to share. First this little doily.
And I am finished with the afghan for a friend. I do need to work in a few ends but essentially it is done.
I also am working some on a big tablecover for the coffee table.
I have taken time to make use of the tabletop easel Jack gifted me with to do some coloring.
Here is Miss Sylvia deciding the bathroom rug was a good place to act a fool!
And someone is hoping she can snatch some yarn!
And all that calls for a nap!
Thanks for visiting. Huggles and blessings.

Just crocheting Away!

Hello! Sometimes I get so busy crocheting away, I forget to post! But here I am once again. The afghan is coming along wonderfully and will soon be finished and on it's way to it's owner.
Finishing up some snowmen for another person as well.
Oh and look at the nice surprise from a friend that arrived today! I simply love it and can not wait to do some coloring in it. Great timing on the arrival too. I have arthritis in my neck that causes the muscles to spasm and I have limited movement often. Well, Jack bought me a tabletop easel to make my coloring more comfortable!
We had sleet, freezing rain, drizzle and snow Saturday night. This was the view out my living room window Sunday morning.

And Sylvia really enjoyed herself in the sun coming in this morning!
Which called for a nap.
And ribbon playtime too!
Thanks for visiting. Huggles and blessings!

Redo and More

Remember this doily? Well I tore the border out and am redoing it. I did not like how the flower with leaves between the motifs came out. I am much happier with it now. I am going to try and finish up some doilies I have in various stages of finish. We are moving this coming May into a smaller, less expensive and better cared for apartment. Really looking forward to that and having a nice area to walk in that is park like and a nice balcony to sit out on.

I am also making great strides with the afghan for a friend.
And there has been a lot of playtime with Sylvia!

Followed by plenty of naps!

Thanks for visiting! Huggles and blessings.
