So much stitchin' & such
And this came from Andie. She was giving away a few charts and I got a lavender and Lace one. It is Angel of Autumn. Now I have all but the angel of summer. I will save up and splurge on that one. Thanks and big hugs to Andie!
Jack's quilt square. Just the big flower to do in the center. He is using both varigated and solid colors and it will make each square unique. We are going to make them into pillows rather than a quilt. The squares came from my dear friend Mary.
Here is my progress on Blue Moon Angel. There are a couple shades of blue floss that are so close in color to the fabric it makes you cross eyed! This is my first time using krenik thread for my metallic too and I am liking it a great deal! It frays less and is much easier to work with than DMC metallics!
See this sweet little baby bunny? He is so tiny he fits in the palm of your hand. I was sitting sewing and Jack was doing dishes. Then I heard a distress cry. I knew it was a baby something but not sure what. A neighbors cat was playing with it and would have killed him. We have a lot of trouble with this cat as it is and I was red hot mad! I chased him away from the baby. Jack got me a rag to pick him up but by the time he got to the door, baby had boogied to the back yard. Jack handed me the rag and chased the cat away again. he was trying to sneak around me to get the little guy. We put him in a shoebox and brought him in for just a bit. Once he had calmed down, I took him back outside. He is now safe under Jack's workshop and the cat can not get him! He may still die of stress but at least he won't be played with and eaten by that stupid cat!
So that is all for now! Be blessed!

Lots to share!
Here is the progress on my Bountiful Blessings cross stitch. Lots more yummy veggies! i am going to put it sown and get blue on my Ruth project.
Here is a Lavender and Lace angel called Blue Moon Angel I want to do. I will do her on a faded blue denim aida. I used to collect L&L angels but they have gotten way to expensive for me. I did get lucky when Hobby Lobby was getting rid of their cross stitch charts. I was able to get a number of charts for eighty cents and one for two dollars.
This little pretty came in the mail a couple days ago from Sioux Sue. Isn't it so very cute? She also sent me another wonderful magazine on Texas. Thanks hon! Huggles!
Just look at all the babies on my Hens and chicks! Me thinks they like their tub and where they are setting.
Here are my baby flowers. I threw in some cosmos and an unusual type of marigold. Not sure which of these the seedlings are or if both came up. Just got to wait and see!
I do hope this doesn't upset anyone. I just wanted to share the lovely stone my cousin Pastor Brent and his wife Jennifer had done for Dustin. He was killed in a car accident in December of 2006.
The little thing in the upper right is something Dustin had drawn. We sure miss that boy so much. It is not unusual to be driving in town and see a young person with a thing in their back glass in loving memory of Dustin. He was a wonderful young man and cared so much for others and was a good Christian boy.
So until we meet next time, God bless. Please know you are all in my heart.
Miss me?

fun and dogs on Thursday
My favorite green house here in town! I about drool whenever we go by it. I start to get excited when they start setting everything up in early April because I know that means time for flowers!
Don't you love this mouse pad? Our old one was just plain shot and we both loved this one!
Here is the border we picked for the kitchen. I almost got one with apples but I just love the look of this one.
And Jack is finished! Isn't it great? I love the roosters gorgeous tail!
I don't have anything crafty to show for myself. I have been making some squares for my crochet project but not a lot of cross stitching!

Saying good bye to Dottie Rambo
Gospel singer Dottie Rambo dies in tour bus wreck in Mo.
MOUNT VERNON, Mo. (AP) — Joyce "Dottie" Rambo, an influential gospel singer and songwriter, died early Sunday when her tour bus ran off the highway and struck an embankment. She was 74.
Seven other people on the bus were injured in the wreck about two miles east of Mount Vernon on Interstate 44, the Missouri Highway Patrol said. They were hospitalized in Springfield with moderate to severe injuries, according to the patrol.
It was unclear whether the crash was related to the severe storms and tornadoes that hit the region on Saturday. Storms also swept through the area later in the night, according to the National Weather Service.
Rambo, of Nashville, Tenn., was on her way to a Mother's Day performance in Texas, according to her Web site.
"She was a giant in the gospel music industry," said Beckie Simmons, Rambo's agent. "Dolly Parton recorded some of her songs."
Parton sent condolences to "everyone involved in this terrible tragedy."
"I know Dottie is in heaven in the arms of God right now, but our earth angel will surely be missed," Parton said in a statement. "Dottie was a dear friend, a fellow singer, songwriter and entertainer, and as of late my duet singing partner."
Rambo was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame last year and the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in 2006.
Rambo has had more than 2,500 published songs, including gospel classics such as "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need" and the 1982 Gospel Music Association Song of the Year, "We Shall Behold Him."

I will try to be on later to do a proper post and share more but I am not feeling well enough right now. I had a bad attack of vertigo last night and am still feeling the effects today. God bless.

Good day from sunny Missouri!
And oh boy am I enjoying this from Souix Sue. Great big hugs to her! The articles about the coast of Texas are perfect! Jack and I want to go down to the gulf coast sometime. If I can get brave enough that is! LOL!
We took a drive Sunday afternoon. It was a lovely day for it. Here is an old barn.
But check out this barn in the next couple pictures! I love it! On the south side it has some clear plexi glass panels in the roof to let light in. What a barn!
This is the 1895 Caplinger Mills bridge. For a time it was in pretty bad repair but they have fixed it up. I remember as a child going across it in a car. Now it is strictly foot traffic and lots of folks fish from it. There is great spoonbill fishing here in the Sac River. The mill is long gone and not many people remain in this little town. My grandmother on my mom's side was born and raised here.
This once was the hospital in Humansville. Now it is a residential care facility. I love the porches they have put on it! My older half brother was born in Humansville.
This is a poem I got from Patty. I really like it. Kinda sums up my feelings and hopes for my life. I have my little house and a dear husband so my life is very happy.
A Prayer for Womanhood
~Grace Noll Crowell~

God, give each true good woman
Her own small house to keep,
No heart should ache with longing,
No hurt should go too deep.....
Grant her age-old desire:
A house to love and sweep.
Give her a man beside her,
A kind man, and a true,
And let them work together
And love, a lifetime through,
And let her mother children
As gentle women do.
Give her a shelf for dishes,
And a shining box for bread,
A white cloth for her table,
And a white spread for her bed,
A shaded lamp at nightfall,
And a row of books much read.
God, let her work with laughter,
And let her rest with sleep.
No life can truly offer
A peace more sure and deep....
God, give each true woman
Her own small house to keep.

About to blow away!
Here is the Bountiful Blessings I have been working on. We have the makings of a good meal so come and join me! LOL!
Today was the day for grocery buying in Nevada and I took a few photos. This is a mural of the old Mitchell Hotel that stood where the parking lot is now. I actually lived at the Mitchell for a time in the 1970's when it was studio apartments. It got pretty run down in the 1980's and they tore it down. Sad they didn't fix it up.
Here is another mural and a beautiful old building in Nevada. It is not part of downtown but was once a bustling area with a hotel and a lot of beautiful buildings. I believe it was the area where the train station once stood. Actor John Huston's grandfather accidentally started a fire that burnt quite a few buildings. Shortly after the family quietly moved away. LOL!
This must be one of the smallest donut shops ever! It was once a service station. Then when they rerouted the highway many years ago it soon was abandoned. It was getting in pretty tough shape and then earlier this year someone bought it, refurbished it and opened a donut shop! It is tiny!
Some flowers out in front of our house. Don't know what they are right off hand but I thought they were pretty.
We had some terrible storms around Missouri last night. Tornadoes touched down and did damage in the Kansas City area and a small town in southeast of us. In Arkansas a 15 year old girl was killed when a tree fell into her bedroom as she slept. Please keep the family in your prayers. A 10 year old boy was in the same room but survived. We only had thunderstorms here but it is certainly windy today. About takes ones head off. God bless until we visit again.
