Been awhile I know!

I fully believe this little girl in this picture was saved by a miracle. Last week she was out playing with the families 3 dogs while dad watched her and talked on the phone. The girl and the dogs went around the side of the house and dad went inside for a few moments. His wife told him supper was ready and he hollered at the little girl. No answer, so he went outside and hollered again. Then he saw one of the dogs returning from the direction of a pond and he took off running. He was just in time to see the dog in the picture pulling the girls lifeless body from the pond by her hair. Dad started CPR and got her breathing. He then threw her over his shoulder and ran for the house so the wife could call 911. By the time they got to the house the girl had stopped breathing again so dad did CPR again and got her breathing again. She was still unconscious when lifeflight arrived to take her to Springfield Mo. She woke about 3 or 4 days later and is doing fine.
On a lighter note. I wanted to share a book I have from the 1930's. I bought it at a flea market in Nevada Mo in 1993 or 1994. I just love to look at the patterns and the pictures.
Don't you love this afghan?
How about the mens sweater and hat?
Nice Ladies sweater.
And I had to show this little girls outfit.
Okay you can scream now! LOL! Yep, yet another picture of more blue but I am closing in on it. At least this chunk.
Jack has one pillowcase done. Now he is working on his quilt square.
So there you have it. I hope I am not so long in my next post. God bless you all.

I was ready to go send a tall dark handsome Mountie to go look for you...oh you still want me to send him??? hehe Oh Michelle, I got shivers reading about that little girl and how the dog saved her. There's a reason why they're called "A Man's Best Friend"!! Also a good thing the dad knew CPR and was able to get her breathing again.

Love old books like that and how fun to see the old knitting patterns.

Also nice to see what you and Jack have been working on lately:-) xoxo

It's amazing about the little girl! I like old books with patterns also--and they're classics--would look just as good made up now. Your projects look great--how nice to lay your head on such pretty cases. Missed you!

Good to see you here again. That truly is a miracle that girl was saved.

Good work on your projects and I have to ask...are you going to knit anything from that book?

Your stitching is always so amazing Michelle. What a wonderful ending for the little girl, truly a miracle.
We just had a child here splasing in a large puddle in a field and she was sucked down an unseen drain cover which had blown through the heavy rain. Her dog followed and the force pushed her forward along a drain into a river 250 ft away. Her Father had the presence of mind to run to the river thinking where else could the drain go to. Although unconcious He saved his daughter but the dog was never seen again.Another miracle.

Thank you so much for your prayers, Michelle, we really need them!!! I am believing the Lord will heal our brokenness, and give us the strength and wisdom to fix our marriage.

One of our international officers just lost his baby girl to drowning. How I wish he had a dog like this. I'm so glad she was okay -- dogs are amazingly creatures. I think everyone needs a Katie or a Mini don't you?
