Spent a little time starting my white on red project yesterday. Doesn't look like much yet.
They had a fire in Nevada over the weekend. Totally destroyed the NAPA auto parts house.
Here is another picture.
Lazy Sylvia again!
What do you see in my kitchen picture? An old kitchen in need of repair, a window needing a curtain? You would be right but I see love. yep, love. A husband nearly in constant pain everyday who knows I like to pull everything off my cabinets frequently to clean everything real good. After standing and doing the dishes in the evening he then did the detail cleaning for me. The next day he pulled everything out of the fridge and scrubbed it for me before I could get to it. That is more love than flowers, candy and presents!
This close up is from the fire. A building totally destroyed yet the phonebook survived!
The princess last night as I was on my way to bed.
I faced my fear of being around a lot of people Sunday afternoon to attend a rally with Jack on the 20 year anniversary of my childhood friend disappearing. She has never been found. I met a lot of her family some I knew back then and I met her grown children. It was a hard day but I am glad Jack and I went!

Fires are so sad - amazing that the phone book survived.
What a great guy to clean the kitchen for you. I got the fridge done recently (what a task), and need to do every single cupboard. UGH!!
Sylvia and Jack are doing what I do best :-)
I'm telling you, I want to come back as a cat in my next life! lol Sylvia looks soooo relaxed:-)
How very sad about your friend Sylvia, the hardest part has got to be not knowing what happened to her and if she's still alive or not. I'm glad you were able to go to the rally with Jack, no doubt Sylvia's family appreciated your support.
Your Jack is a keeper for sure:-) I so wish he could wake up one morning with no pain at all!!
A fire is so devastating but as you say, it's funny that a phonebook will survive a fire. Friends of mine lost their house to fire years ago and when they were sifting through the rubble they found a Sears catalog that only had the edges burned...good thing because they had put $200 in between the pages until they could go to the bank!!
Big hugs to you and Jack! xoxo
Love your kitchen! It looks homey.
Your Sylvia looks just like my Patches, except Patches has a black nose. They are a pair of happy relaxed bookends!
