I know I am terribly overdue with a post. I had meant to post last Sunday. However things did not work out that way. Jack and I are attending a new church the last couple Sundays. We have a fellowship time after service. Jack had two TIA's there. I took him to urgent care and he had a small one there also. They told us to head to the ER and I did. They kept him overnight and did lots of tests and such. His blood pressure was sky high and that was the cause. They said that had he ignored the symptoms that most likely a big stroke would have happened within 72 hours.
Jack's symptoms were pins and needles on the left of his face the first time. The second time his legs grew weak and he could not speak. The third was pins and needles again and weak legs. He is home now but still some weak and tired.
I will be back with a regular post this weekend. Huggles and blessings.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Jack and you will be in my thoughts and prayers
Oh my goodness! Tell Jack he must stop scaring you like that! I'll keep him in my prayers. How are you liking your new church.
Hi - this is my first comment on your blog. I have had two TIA's in my life - once in 1995 and again in 2015. I was only in my 30's in 1995 but under a lot of stress (no car, had to take four buses to get to and from work, financial stress, etc) - and in 2015 my daughter was going thru a very stressful divorce and I had a mini stroke the morning of the custody hearing for my two grandchildren - basically my daughter's ex husband was trying to get the children and he was so neglectful to him - thankfully she got custody - but the Neuro specialist at the ER said an "extreme stress event" can bring on a TIA. It was very scary for me, weakness on my right side, hard to form words, I had my granddaughter home with me that day (she had to stay home from school the day of the custody hearing -she was so scared herself) she helped me dial 911 - my husband was at the courthouse with my daughter. I now take a daily aspirin and an anti anxiety med to help keep my calm. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband
What a scary and worrying time! Take care and hope things get better x
Praying for a quick and complete recovery for Jack. Please take care of yourself too!

I know I don't comment often, but I read ALL your posts. Tell Jack that prayers are going up for him from Maine. I am praying for you also. We've done the "taking care of a fragile family member" thing - In fact we still are with GrammaJ. t's TOUGH. I am praying for God to give you both peace and to give you wisdom in what things you can do yourselves to help get Jack better. (((((Hugs)))))
So sorry to hear of Jacks mini strokes. Prayers for you as a caregiver to both your husband and your mother.
Good to hear Jack is home and on the mend.
Take care...both of you! xx
Lots of prayers for you and DH. Thank God you went to have his symptoms checked!
