A little red woolly worm visited us yesterday.
I am recycling again! LOL! I had a red gingham curtain on the back door but after we took down the big maple, the sun ruined it. So I took this lace panel, doubled it over, sewed a few stitches and had a new curtain the sun won't fade. Being a double layer it keeps out the harshest sun while still letting light in.
Here is E. J. today with a new hedgehog toy. Many of the toys he inherited from Katie are not doing so well and are tired and worn out.
Jack and E. J. from the other night. Jack was in pain with his legs, and the E. man was keeping him company. I had a little fun with the special effect on this picture.
E.J. also got some mail today from a dear friend we have never met. His Aunted Betsy as he calls her on facebook, made him a little blankie and sent him a toy. That kid was in hog heaven today!
I am crocheting on a prayer shawl and plan on making a couple more. I was inspired to do so by a dear friend, Susan from the Tulsa area. You can meet her here --> Penless Writer
Here is a picture of a gorgeous sunset last night. I like the shot through the tree.
Nice pinks and oranges in this one.
One last shot of E.J. playing with his present!
So no cross stitching this time, but I do hope you enjoyed everything else. God bless and huggles.

Stitching, watching butterflies and enjoying life.
This tiny little butterfly was warming up on the morning glories this morning.
While morning glories do love heat and little water, the long dry spelled cut the number of blooms but after a couple days of blessed rain, they are going to town.
Our white mum is trying to bloom and I reckon after two days of lows in the 50's at night, more blooms will likely be on the way.
Our friend Teresa stopped by today and of course E.J. was in hog heaven! He never meets a stranger and he loved her but his pestering made taking a picture tough! LOL!
I am nearly done with the wolf's ear and thus this page. Slow going right now but getting there. Afraid Jack hasn't been able to get a lot done on his as his knee is kicking up again after working last week on our bedroom.
So that is my short post. Hope you enjoyed it. God Bless and huggles.

How did a week get away from me?
I can not believe it has been a week since I posted. Where did the time go? LOL! Anyway let's have a visit. This is E.J. trying to retrieve a toy that got away from him under the hutch.
Took this just now. Napping on the bed using dad's pj's as a pillow!
And here is a prize E.J. won on facebook. It is meant to go in the garden but we have so much garden art stolen around here I am keeping it safe inside. Donna did a fabulous job! Visit them here--> Garden Art Memories
Jack has started outlining his project but with another flair up of his knee he is not feeling up to stitching too much. It is lovely though.
I only have the edge of the wolves ear to do and a missed stitch up towards the top and this page will be history. I think I will take a short break because the next page is only two colors. That will be boring after a bit!
Thanks for visiting! God bless and huggles.

hello!
Well the time has come to move EVERYTHING out of our bedroom to finish it up. I asked Jack if we could put the bed in the kitchen so if I got hungry I could just open the fridge and help myself! Well, it's close! The fridge is across from the table!
E.J. is enjoying the bed in the living room. He thinks he is at the Holiday Inn!
He is even eating his snacks in bed! LOL!
Took this shot of the moon the other day. I do love a big moon!
One more of the E man helping dad talk to Uncle Steve! E.J. hasn't met his Uncle Steve yet.
Here is the empty bedroom. Need another coat of paint on the walls, finsih painting the window trim and the floors need stripped and finished.
Don't you love how they did the closet? It snags stuff including people. Jack will rebuild it all. It is a nearly 10 foot long closet so we will have shelving at either end for seldom used items.
And progress on Jack's stitching. He is close to doing the outline work.
Zipping along on the wolf! i am getting to the I need a break feeling. So I will do a quick little project when I finish this part.
So thank you for visiting us. God bless and keep you. huggles.

Let's get stitching!
First a little day trip taken while E.J. was in for the BIG snip (neuter)
E.J. was getting a bit annoyed at me after we got him home Thursday morning. To me that look just plain says, "Get that camera outta here!"
It has been so hot we have spent a lot of time stitching. Jack is well along on his project.
I also am well along on mine!
See you soon! God bless and huggles.

Stitching away here!
How about a little cute with the E man? Okay you asked for it! LOL! Playing with some bottles.
Maxing out on the bed.
Grinning at mom while playing with dad.
And his opinion of all the 100 degree days limiting his outside time!
Jack has been a busy boy stitching. Much to hot to work on anything outside.
And I have been a busy girl too. I am taking time to work on curtains and I need to finish painting our window trim in the bedroom but with having so many vertigo spells, I will wait!
So that is my little post. Hope it brought a smile and some happiness. God bless and huggles.

Who turned on the heat? LOL!
Here is E.J. and his little froglegs as I call them.
"Mom!!!! enough with the camera already!"
Seriously, I finished page two of my wolf and nixed my idea of a break from it. I am on to page three! Just in case you are curious, I have a total of twelve pages, four across.
Jack has been a busy boy on his project. I think the detail is going to be wonderful when completed. Poor guy had a visit from the old mean frog last night so he spent time doing some ripping out.
One last chuckle. What are the boys to do on a hot afternoon? why nap of course! Our heat indexes were in the 108 to 110 range.
So there you go for today. God bless you all and huggles!

Happy Friday!
Tormenting the E.J.! LOL!
Look what someone did to a neighbor's house! Whoever did it sure went all out!
Our little guy chilling out in the sun after his car ride made him cold.
Jack bought this for my kitchen. And at two dollars a roll, who am I to complain? It is one of those borders you either hate or love. I think it looks like a cross between folk art and retro stuff. It is really wide as well.
Jack is coming along nicely on his project. I am surprised he has so much done already.
My wolf is getting closer to having the second page done. I will most likely take a one week break before starting the next page and work on something easier.
So there you have it. I am way to tired to be very chatty but I did want to do a post. God bless and huggles all.

Wolves, E.J. and Mr. bumbles
I just could not resist bringing this stuffed Bumble bee home to E.J. who promptly named him Mr. Bumbles! Mr. Bumbles has already needed surgery when E.J. played to rough.
Here is Jack's Last Supper project. it is a bit of slow going for him with the colors jumping all over the place. But it will be well worth the trouble!
And here is my wolf. Right now I am in an area that I can go pretty quickly on as the colors are not jumping around as much. I am enjoying it still very much.
So a bit of a short post I know. Been a bit busy here. Besides the home repairs we are preparing for the city wide garage sale Friday and Saturday. I pray the temps will be down like they are saying. We will have everything under the carport. So God bless and huggles all.
