Some Crochet and an Update

Well hello friends. I am so sorry for my long absence. Some of you may know I have been sick off and on since November. More on then off as well. I got really sick again recently and Jack said time to go to the doctor! It was time for sure! Turns out I got a sinus infection that could never fully clear as I also have cysts in my sinuses. So now I am on antibiotics and a special nasal spray. Only been three days on the antibiotics and I already and feeling so much better! Now I need to catch up with all of you.

Now onto the more fun stuff! Still working on my Rings of Change blanket some of the time. doing crocodile stitches now.

And Jack is busy with his baby blanket.

I also am making some simple cross bookmarks for a friend.

And no picture but I am also trying to finish up the 5 dozen angels for another friend. Hoping that now I am starting to feel better I will fly along again!
Miss Sylvia has been enjoying some morning sunshine.

A Little Crochet update

I had quite the fun on my me day crocheting the huge afghan! I am at the point where some rows have 450 stitches in them. But it is so enjoyable although the going is getting slower!

Jack is working on a baby quilt for a family members great grandbaby.

Another Finish!

I finished another Names Of Jesus piece! This one is heading to it's home tomorrow. The colors are a new choice for me and I like them!

Nearly finished on the afghan as well. It will be going out next week.

And I started a new afghan for myself and my ME weekend times. It will be nearly 95 inches across and took me some time to buy up the yarn needed. It is called Rings of Change.

I found a darling little shelf sitting next to the trash the other day and brought it home. It is just perfect for clearing off the goodies on the bar area!

Our little girly squirrel visited us the other day. I think she likes to pose for pictures. She is not afraid of people and will walk along the building with me on the way to the mailbox sometimes.

This rascal was napping in the shade too the other day!

Back Again!

Sorry about being gone over a month. In March it was just laziness. The first week of April however was the Orthodox Christian Holy week. During this time there are about 30 hours of service. No, we did not go to all services. Too much when you are not healthy, plus I had an upper respiratory infection again. Now my Jack is sick! So let's get on to some visiting.
     I have loved this towel from the first I saw it. I would not pay twenty five dollars for it! That is plum silly! However, when it was marked down to next to nothing, it came home with us! Jack will be doing it.

And this Names Of Jesus piece is all done!

I have also started on another for another friend.

Saturday I put together some shelves and unloaded my yarn on to them.

And doing that, I found some squares I had done some time ago and forgotten about. They will becoming covers for couch pillows.

And I found a simple little pattern for scraps of left over yarn. Something I can easily take with me to the Doctor's etc..

When I was praying the other morning, I noticed lots and lots of Baltimore Orioles all thru the trees! What a wonderful start to the day!

Now today although it is pretty chilly after a couple really nice days, we have baby leaves on the tree!

And last but not leat, Sylvia Joy in all her glory!

Where did the time go?

I really did not mean to be gone so long! It is the season of Lent for our church and is a busy time with lots of extra services so that is my reason!
Anyway, I finished up the cross tabletopper this week. It will be going home soon and ended up being 30 inches across.

Another happy this past week is my new sewing machine! Did I tell you my other gave up on me? Well, Jack surprised me with this Brother with 27 stitches. I have yet to play with it but I will soon!

It is just trying really hard to be spring around here. The birds are singing, the weather is often in the 60's with cooler spells in between and things are showing signs of life again.

Rainy week update

Well it has been a busy and a rainy week. we have a flash flood warning and have had nearly three inches of rain today in some areas. anyway, onto the fun stuff!
I have been working on the shawlette for a friend.

I have also been very busy on the cross tablecover for another friend. I am getting very close to the end. I am on row 44 of 60!

Also, I am working on squares for a friend's afghan. There will be pink, green and gold.

This weekend for my me time, I am trying to get finished up on an afghan I have had going for about two years. It keeps getting put down to do for others. But that is fine and I do not mind!

Now for Sylvia Joy! being very lady like here!
