Got Lost again!

Sorry for the long absence! Sometime life gets in the way. Been some sickness, some busyness and < I am sure, some laziness! LOL! I am trying to finish up a very large order I promised to have ready and shipped by end of January. With hard work, it is nearly done and will be finished by tomorrow. This is what has taken me so long on the order. A tablecloth about 70 inches in size.

I did manage to make a vest for myself on a me day. It is fun to do as it is all done in one piece and sewn at the shoulders.

On another me day, I took time to do the first square on the Moogly Blog 2020 sew along. The next square is out and I will get it done this week.

I even squeezed in time to start a blanket Jack wants for when he is on the floor trying to ease his legs. The other afghans are a bit to small. This pattern is Families of Change by Frank O'Randle.

Jack is also still very busy making baby blankets as well. I have two I need to put a back on for him yet.

Now on to other fun things. Jack and I got a lovely card from the Sunday School kiddos and this Norfolk pine. The pine has been named Phineas.

We also had a bit of an ice storm last weekend. It cleared quickly thankfully and the crepe myrtles looked lovely!

Can you find the blue jay? He came to visit.

Big post!

First two finishes to share with you. The tablecloth for the church.

And an afghan for a friend.

Jack is very busy with another baby quilt. He still has more to do after this one as well.

I am now working on another afghan for the same friend. A fall theme one in Simply soft yarn. Thinking I may need to make myself one as well!

Jack bought me a Christmas cactus and a double white amaryllis. I also got a tablecloth on sale for the round table. Am waiting for a little two foot Christmas tree to arrive for the dining room. It was supposed to be delivered today but having my doubts about that.

 Here is a little Carolina wren that was very busy the other day hopping here and there and scolding Sylvia.

Life happens and then you crochet!

Again I have been missing for far too long! I do not remember if I mentioned my Jack started suffering from anemia in March and despite prescription iron, is still not over it and they do not know why. Therefore I am doing as much as I can so Jack can save his limited strength and do what he can as he can. He has managed to finish almost all the painting repair and light hanging in the bathroom. So he does what he can! At times I am to tired or headachey to even care to write a post and I am sorry for that.
That said let me share some pictures of silly Sylvia the garden leopard.

 We have had way to much rain this past week. Saturday night and Sunday last week we had about 8 inches of rain. We have more coming tonight.

 The kids enjoyed it after church!

I have managed some crocheting and some weaving too. And got some discontinued yarn for 99 cents a skein.

We also took the top from an old coffee table we had, bought a base for it and some chairs at a flea market so now we have a kitchen table. I also found my Grandmother's everyday table cloth for it. Whilst rummaging, I also found the table cloths Jack stitched and put on the dining table.

Had a butterfly visitor too!

Last night after Vespers at church, our priest and his wife gave us these lovely snake plants!They are also known as mother in law tongue.

Leaves are just beginning to change here and we had a lovely sunrise this morning.

Lastly I leave you with my latest read. I have not gotten far as I am buried in commissions for crochet work, but it is a good book thus far..
