Here is some fall color for you. I stood out on the porch today and took the pictures. With the winds we have had I am surprised all the leaves didn't blow off!
And Jack has progress on his cross stitch. This section is now done and on to the next for him.
Since I forgot to take a picture of my work, I will call this a short post for today. God bless and huggles.

A little here and there!
It has been a busy week so not a lot of crafting going on. I did finish this shawl up last night. Today I need to work in the ends, add ties and wash it so it can go to it's new owner at church tomorrow.
What do you think of this? You make 4 of these and sew them together, add a border and it becomes a shawl. It looked so unusual I had to try it. It isn't a hard pattern at all. I am thinking of making an afghan using it.
You can find both patterns at this website --> Caron
Their instructions are wonderfully written and for free patterns, they are beautiful! So be blessed and huggles to all.

Happy Monday!
So, what do you think of these mushrooms? There are several mounds in various sizes.
I finished another shawl! It will soon find a home.
And I have started this special one for a lady in our church. It is a pattern based on an antique pineapple doily.
Jack is busy outlining away on his project when we aren't busy working on the house that is.
A little progress on my wolf. I am still having a terrible time seeing to work on it with needing new glasses.
So I guess that is all for me. God bless and huggles.

Time for a visit
Well it has been, to say the least, a hectic week. Had to take the car in for a recall repair, then to Springfield to pick up e.J.'s ashes. We did our best to have fun and we got to meet a dear lady i have known on line for a bit. here is the slideshow I made of our trip.
I took some pictures the 12th of the sunset from my front porch. I love to do this!
And a cobweb on the front porch made lovely by the moisture from the fog Tuesday.
Sorry no craft highlights with this crazy week. I do hope you enjoyed your visit anyway.! Love and huggles and God bless.

I finished the prayer shawl for Bren. Now i just need to package it up and send it off soon. I have started another but it isn't far enough along to show yet.
Here is Mr. Wolf. Not very exciting as all I am working on this page is black, black and more black! *sigh*
I realize this is a bit of a small post and hopefully next time I will have more to share. love and huggles and God bless.

I am back
Yesterday I started to feel my heart mending after the tragedy Saturday of E.J.'s death. Thank you everyone for the prayers and loving thoughts. I even managed to go out in the back yard and help Jack out. This is what he was up to. It is bulky trash week here next week where they haul off items they usually don't mess with. Of course today poor Jack is down in his back after all his hard work.
Saturday morning our youth pastor come by to help Jack put in a new front door. Here is Jack putting the knobs on our new door.
This is the old door, a very cheap, hollow core with the veneer peeling off. We found out that it was held in with only two nails!
Jack and Travis working away.
We saw this van while we were in Springfield Tuesday taking E.J. to be cremated. God found a lot of ways that day to bring smiles and ease the sorrow.
This is the last picture I took of our boy before he was killed that very afternoon. I sure miss the things he used to do like the funny twitch and shuffle when he wanted attention. Or the way he pestered the dickens out of me to go to bed at night.
The latest picture of the mums.
And I started crocheting again last night. I am nearly done with it!
So there you have it. It feels good to be blogging again but I will miss posting pictures of E.J. for sure. God bless and huggles.

Short blogging break
Sadly today we neglected to make sure the gate was secure before E.J. was allowed out. He wandered into the yard next door where the lab there attacked him. Jack got him away but the damage was done. he died in Jack's arms a short time later. I need a short break of a few days to deal with my grief.
Rest in peace darling E.J. March 6, 2010-October 2, 2010
