Love to start the week stitching!

Here is the progress on Bluebird Sampler.  It is coming along very nicely.  Pretty much just the border to do which is plenty of work!

 And the doily is only a few rounds away from being done.  Then it will be on to a new adventure!

 And here are a couple pictures of our girl.  Love the look on that face after I put the string on her head!  LOL!

A day of cross stitching with my beloved!

Here is a better picture of the heart doily I just finished.  It does well on my little table.

 I was pretty busy on my Bluebird Sampler as Jack was working away on his pillowcase.

 Here is the pinwheel doily.  I worked on it quite a bit as well.  Keeping my hands busy yesterday was all I felt like doing with a nasty migrane and today I was worn out so I pretty much just crocheted until I felt better.

 Jack has finished one pillowcase.  It is gorgeous  and I can not wait to use them!

Sylvia finally went up one level on her kitty tree.  Here she is trying to decide if the fuzzy ball needs a smack or if she needs a nap!

Finally I am working on page 3!  The capital letters are going so quickly!

 And i finished my heart doily.  It came out really nice and big and will go on the dining table after it is ironed.

Have you seen or heard of nylon crochet thread?  It is used a lot for making your own scrubbies but can be used for doilies as well.  It is just a bit slippery and feels different working with it but once you get used to it it isn't bad to work with.

 Jack is coming along with his pillowcase.  That yellow satin stitch took him a bit but he is having fun with it.

 And now for our Sylvia!  Smile!

Thursday's happenings!

So close to done on this half!  The border is driving me nuts so I am ready to finish it!

 And on the heart doily I have only two hearts and the edging to do and it will be done!

 I just think Jack's pillowcase gets prettier and prettier every day!

Beautiful sunset clouds last night!  I did think I would about melt taking pictures in 104 degree heat but I thought they were so beautiful.

We had to go to petco for holistic kitty treats for Sylvia and met these cuties.  A chinchilla and ferrets!

Busy day at our home!

I am so close to finishing the top half of Bluebird Sampler.  Hoping to be on the second half by week  end.

 AND Jack finished the candlewick pillow and today I got it all put together.  It is pretty good size to let me tell you!

 And I am nearly finished with this one.  I did the embroidery some time ago and never finished it up.  I still have more to do!

 Here is the back of it.

 Jack is now working on a set of pillowcases he got on sale a while back.  Just two shades of yellow and a shade of blue.

For those wanting to know, the Wall quilt top Jack did was prestamped.  Now I need to get it all put together.  And I was asked why I lost my ability to draw.  I injured my hand severely in a car accident and I have nerve damage in both hands.  I compensate fairly well but not with the drawing part so I just gave up on it.  Now my cross stitch and crochet have taken the place of it.  So thanks for visiting and huggles and blessings.  Been a very busy day here and I am ready for a rest!

A bit of progress on Bluebird Sampler.  Not much but some.

 Lots of progress on my crochet piece.  I have to admit I haven't worked on the heart one for awhile.  I really should since it is nearly done.

 Jack finished his quilt top, now we need to put batting and a back piece.

 Now jack is finishing a pillow top I started long ago.  It is scallops done all in french knots with candlewicking thread.

Good day for stitching!

I would have had more done on Bluebird sampler but the dreaded Frog came to visit!

 Been working also on a fillet crochet piece.  it is a lot like painting with thread and hook.  I have always loved this style especially since I lost my ability to draw and paint.

 Jack is oh so close on his wall quilt!  I can not wait until it is completely finished!

 Are you ready for the killer?  Here she is this afternoon attacking her hanging toy.

Friday stitching and sillies!

A tiny bit of progress on Bluebird Sampler.  I am having a bit of a rough couple days due to health so not really up to cross stitching.

 I do like a bit of crocheting though if I don't feel to rough.  Kinda helps to sooth me and take my mind off things.  I only have about three rows left to do on this one so I am working on it.

 I am now doing the top of the hearts on this one.  Each one has to be done individually but it's not too bad at all.  Then it will be time for the edging.

 Jack has made a lot of progress on his wall quilt.  When it is finished, we will add batting, backing and edging to finish it up.

 And of course you know we have to have our silly girl!  I love sleeping pictures of her!
