Surprise! Lillies that is!

We had some surprise lillies pop up this week. I just love them and am glad to have them. We are going to relocate them this fall to the flowerbed though.
Found this cute little garden stake for two dollars on clearance at our local Pamida department store. I couldn't resist it! I put it in the small flower bed next to the porch.
Found two sprays of silk flowers at wal mart for 97 cents a piece. Perfect to finish off this little basket! I cut them all apart and this is what I came up with!
And now the stitching. Got a little bit done on my heart. It's hard to see the green floss against the green fabric but I like the tone on tone look very much! And my house is halfway finished on my sampler project. I am at a stand still on Middie until I get the beads and Krenik threads I lost. I am going to pull another project to take it's place for now. So there ya go. That is what we have been up to since Friday. Oh, and Jack is off the crutches and doing so much better! thanks for all the well wishes and concern and prayers!

Hi Michelle,

You've been a busy bee. I just love your flower arrangement in the basket. When I saw the picture I expected to read that someone sent you a fresh flower arrangement. They look so real!

I just LOVE your house piece. Where is that pattern from? It's really going to be gorgeous.

Thanks for your kind comments on my blog.

Hi Michelle!
Your garden stake is a good find. It brightens up that corner. You have a real talent for arranging your silk flowers. They look so nice in that basket!!

ISn't it amazing how fast the first year of blogging goes? What a blessing it has become to all of us.

Your fingers certainly do keep busy! I used to cross stitch and crewel embroider, and sew and sew. Since I went back to work full time, I haven't been able to do it, and now my eyes and my tendonitis don't allow it much. I miss it. I always thought I'd sew for my grandchildren.

My grandkids' other grandma lives in North Dakota and has a Pamida. She brings them the most wonderful things every time she visits, which she gets for next to nothing. She's worried, though, because they're bringing a Wal Mart into their little town, so that'll probably be the end of Pamida. Sad.

Have a great week!

I had a long comment typed and blogger ate it up. Grrr.

I think I can remember what I said, though this brain of mine isn't as good as it once was!

It's amazing how quickly this first year of blogging goes, isn't it? It has become such a blessing to all of us.

Your fingers certainly stay busy! I used to do cross stitch, crewel embroidery, knitting, crocheting, sewing and sewing and sewing. I loved it, and it was my creative outlet. Then I had to go back to work, my eyes are fine for typing and anything else, but can't seem to thread a needle very well these days. I also developed tendonitis, so that makes cross stitching difficult. I miss it. I always thought I'd sew for my grandkids.

The grandkids other grandma lives in ND and has a Pamida - she brings more stuff for them when she comes for a visit that she's bought for next to nothing at that store. She's worried, though, because Wal Mart is coming to town and that'll probably be the end of Pamida.

Have a wonderful week!

Those lillies look like what we call Naked Ladies (because of their lack of leaves) but I could be wrong.

It is always nice to get bargains...I got a pot of fake lavender at Michaels yesterday for a buck fifty, marked down from $4.99!!
Luv summer sales ;)

You are just so creative and I can't wait for your pay it forward gifts, etc... That is so wonderful of you!

I hope you are more settled than ever. I know I haven't blogged much this summer with working so much but things have slowed down a bit.

Hugs!

Come on over - the ironing board is set up, I'll get a new iron this afternoon, and we'll chat while you iron!! Don't worry about the britches - they're mostly iron-free!

I know people who like to iron - wish I was one!
