Let's talk and share some stitchy stuff!

Here is Blue Moon Angel. I know it doesn't look like I have done a lot but it is one of those projects that has a lot of color change. Makes for a pretty piece but what a lot of work!
I have also been crocheting squares for my bedspread. I really need to get cracking and get it done! LOL! Jack is working on a project but I can not show you that just now. The person it is for looks at my blog! Sorry! Now what do you think of this fabric? Most people will either hate it or love it.
It is for my bedroom curtains to replace the temporary blue ones I made. Once we repaint the bedroom blue won't go. And since the green paint we will use has yellow undertones, we had to be careful of the green we chose. I got this in Carthage at Hobby Lobby. I love ginghams and checks since I don't use a pattern for my curtains. Makes the cutting that much easier! The best part is I got 6 yards for twelve dollars as it was on sale! Yippee! I was disappointed though. Jack took me to Joann's and the fabric they had was not anything I liked. The little bit I did like was flimsy and to me, poor quality. Not at all like the wonderful Joann's in Springfield! Oh well I got what I wanted!
So that is my puny little post for now. LOL! God bless!

The angel is so beautiful and the hard work is going to be worth the effort.

The material is very pretty. I have a hard time "seeing" how thing will look. My husband is very good at this. He loves this kind of material. Have a great day, dear Michelle. love you, connie from texas

I made a little dress for my daughter with the same kind of green fabric you have for your curtains. It was a long time ago and it does not fit her any more but I still have it. I'll make a post about it soon.

The angel is coming along nicely. She'll be a stunner when finished! I love the fabric you chose. Everyone should surround themselves with things they love.
ps. I've so enjoyed seeing the old homes from Carthage. My cousin used to have a health food store there. It's a nice town:~D

Hi Michelle,
I so admire your beautiful work. That angel design looks so intricate.
I don't sew hardly at all anymore, but have noticed that our fabric store has gone up so much in price. Sewing isn't the bargain it once was.

Love the gingham. I don't use patterns either for curtains so the design really helps one avoid measuring and remeasuring and then, in my case, SYILL getting it wrong!

Well if you come and buy the house for sale then I can come and visit you!!!!!

Maybe you will let us see a photo of the curtain material when they are up and hanging. I am sure you chose a good colour.

I just continue to be amazed at your stitch work. What patience and dexterity.

Thanks for coming by my blog, I love the old stoves too, the one I have in my playroom is just like the one in the add well pretty close. It still cooks beautifully, the hams that have come out of there would make your mouth water. One of my fav ways of enjoying it is sticking my frozen feet in there, with a hot drink in my hand, when its minus 50 you really dont care about much else.
Have a good weekend.

Such talent you have! Allow me to add that I like the homespun look of your checked fabric. Homespun tis a favorite of mine.

Coming in after working on the trees, I stitched up a set of curtains for my sewing room. Tis a fact that we leave the essential room for the last of it. :-)

The curtains are blue toile on a yellow background for the valance with a complementary thin striped fabric in the same colors for the rest. Now tis a proper a sewing room.
