I am back

Yesterday I started to feel my heart mending after the tragedy Saturday of E.J.'s death. Thank you everyone for the prayers and loving thoughts.   I even managed to go out in the back yard and help Jack out. This is what he was up to. It is bulky trash week here next week where they haul off items they usually don't mess with. Of course today poor Jack is down in his back after all his hard work.
Saturday morning our youth pastor come by to help Jack put in a new front door.  Here is Jack putting the knobs on our new door.
This is the old door, a very cheap, hollow core with the veneer peeling off.  We found out that it was held in with only two nails!
Jack and Travis working away.
We saw this van while we were in Springfield Tuesday taking E.J. to be cremated.  God found a lot of ways that day to bring smiles and ease the sorrow.
This is the last picture I took of our boy before he was killed that very afternoon.  I sure miss the things he used to do like the funny twitch and shuffle when he wanted attention.  Or the way he pestered the dickens out of me to go to bed at night.
The latest picture of the mums.
And I started crocheting again last night.  I am nearly done with it!
So there you have it.  It feels good to be blogging again but I will miss posting pictures of E.J. for sure.  God bless and huggles.

I always marvel when I am reminded of how wonderfully we are made. We get hurt, grieve, our heart is broken, but then time goes by and we realize that time as goes by and it doesn't hurt quite as bad as it used to. God has made us that way! Isn't that great!!!!?

You are still in my prayers my friend. I am so glad your youth pastor came out to help Jack put up the new door. My son-in-law is a youth pastor and I think I am going to tell him how he and his youth group can help others too. I know you miss your litte boy . . . I am praying for you and Mr. Jack. Oh yea I love the prayer shawl. Stop by Grace too I have a give a way going on . . . PLEASE enter it.

Blessings,
Bren

I am glad your heart is starting to mend. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to our boy, Darcy. So my heart went out to you.

At least the time EJ had, was very blessed and full of love. Not all doggies can boast of that!

God bless you...

ps. the van was funny!

When we have a heartbreak, it is hard to believe that we can enjoy the sunshine and 'funny vans' ever again....then it starts happening. We can smile again. Hope your days get easier and easier.

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dog. I can only imagine the pain you felt. Please know that God will mend your broken heart. Animals bring so much joy to our lives and are one of our heavenly Father's finest creations.

Our Emily has been gone for 12 years and I STILL miss her when I drop an egg on the kitchen floor or when I'm cold and shivery on the couch and want a cuddly companion. *sigh*

Your new door is beautiful! I'm sure your house will be warmer this Winter with the new door. Your mums are beautiful too! I bought 2 this year and keep forgetting to water them! lol

Hugs,
