A Little Post!
Well, I am late with last nights post. Of late my migranes have been pretty frequent and yesterday I even took to the bed for a couple hours which I rarely do. Otherwise I did very little of anything and since I also have to fight with the computer a lot to upload pictures, I decided to wait until this morning. So on we go today. Here is Jack's baby quilt. He really doesn't have a lot more to do.
And Thursday I managed to finish the blue set of hotpads and now onto the red and white. I alternated the color placement on one just for interest.
Thursday I also managed to finish the little doily. It isn't pressed yet but still cute. I shortened the border to keep it at 10 inches but I think it looks nice.
Thanks for visiting. Huggles and blessings.

Fun at Home
Well good day! I don't have any of my things to show but I do have a couple pictures of Jack's baby quilt. It's adorable!
Oh but I do have a picture of some yarn Jack surprised me with. It is mill end stuff so he got it at a very good price and I love the colors!
Now here is Miss Sylvia Joy in all her silliness!
Blessings and huggles.

Happy Friday!
First let me say I'm sorry I forgot to post a pattern and tutorial Wednesday. It just plain slipped my mind. And for those who asked, I did come up with the pattern for a veil and I plan to finish another type of covering tomorrow. All I can say is it is a bit of a cross between a caul, a snood and a kapp. LOL! Anyway onto what I am up to.
I am closing in on finishing this Names of Jesus piece. One name to finish and two more to do after that. After that I believe I will finish the Cardinals.
And here is a doily I am doing for someone. After I finish ten more bells around, I will have a border to do and then it will be finished. It is a small one around 10 inches and very cute I think.
I also am doing 6 hotpads for the same customer. Three in blue and white and three in red and white. I like the colors together.
My beloved husband trying to be silly yesterday. That is about as silly as he gets except with only us two. he is a bit shy about that.
Sorry no Sylvia pics. She is in hibernate mode upstairs lately. Thanks for visiting. huggles and blessings.

What a day!
The husband was in pain yesterday with his foot and today it was much worse. Nothing new as this happens now and again. So I did his chores and mine and soaked his foot in epson salt water bath which seems to have helped. I then rewarded myself by working on a couple doilies. The first is the beginning of an adorable little doily that will be about ten inches wide when finished. It is an order for a friend.
And here is my pinwheel one. I will be on it for some time since it has a total of over 75 rows. But it is a blast!
And here is how the veil hangs on my head with the pleats in it. I wore it to church yesterday and even though I later developed a migrane, it was not a problem at all. I am working on another pattern now.
I leave you with our Sylvia Joy dreaming her favorite dream!
Huggles and blessings.

Time for doilies and such!
Because of my rapidly thinning hair and the fact putting it up in a bun id damaging it more, I am trying to make one or more types of veils so I can leave my hair down or put it in a hairnet on hot days. This is my first try out and I like it.
I have nerve damage in my hands so it is sewn at the nape of my neck. a few pleats helps it hang the way I prefer.
I finished two doilies this week. This one reminds me of the sun with the pattern and yellow coloring.
This doily is a present for someone at church. I do hope she enjoys it! I have a doily ordered by someone and I will hopefully have some pictures of the start Monday when I see you again. Sorry to say no Sylvia pictures. She was in hibernate mode this last couple days. Hopefully Monday I will have a picture of Jack's baby quilt. It is just so cute! Blesings and huggles.

Wednesday pattern Day!
Here is a pattern in what is called filet crochet. Not a lot of people seem to do it anymore but I really love it if the pattern is well done. This is a lovely daffodil table runner from 1919.
Filet crochet daffodil
And how about an awesome buffalo for you wall hanging? You could do a silhouette in cross stitch as well.
Buffalo
Thanks for coming by to view my couple finds for the week. Blessings and huggles.

Happy Monday!
We had quite a snow event yesterday all day long. There were numerous cars sliding off the roads but no one was seriously hurt. This is our shrubbery out front.
Yesterday and today has seen some stitching and crochet as well. I am trying to finish up this present this week. Only five more rows to go.
Just for fun I took a picture of a doily I was working on.
And the names of Jesus pice is coming along great as well. Nice to see the end in sight!
Here comes Sylvia in all her glory! She loves to watch the humidifier and also sits up on her cat tree to watch Jack stitching.
Thanks for visiting. Huggles and blessings.
