To all my blogger friends
Well, I am sorry but Blogger will not let me post a comment on your blogs. I have the beta version and I guess most of you do not. Or they are having troubles. Please know I am reading your posts, just can't comment. Well, I figured out how I can comment! Yippee!!!! As long as I can comment without using my blogger I.D.

I've noticed the same thing. I think as long as the person's blog give you the option to post as Other...which is probably what you discovered...you are okay for posting. I changed my comments section to allow this after I had a couple of bloggers comment that they couldn't post on mine. I'll be glad when they get everything switched over and we are all back in sync again.
