Important question!

First stitchy news and then we will get to a very important question!
I have added another project. The pattern was with the light effects thread Jack got me for Christmas. I really like this funky little heart. The light effects thread is a metallic so I am working with shorter pieces and using my Thread Heaven. It is not as bad to work with as regular metallic but it can be a pain so I just work slowly!
Now for a burning question of epic proportions! Is this paint yellow enough?
This is our hallway which is not a real sunny spot. The landlord brought some paint by last week and said if we liked any of it we could use it. (Yes, that is my bathroom sink-in the hallway. The bathroom is laid out weird and there is no room for it in there!)

So I was intrigued by one that was called egg custard. I thought it would be a nice soft yellow. Well yellow it is but soft it isn't!!!! It actually made my eyes hurt painting with it. I was thinking maybe this isn't a good choice. Jack suggested I give it a go and keep painting and live with a bit and see if we like it. Well, you know, I do like it! It really brightens up the hallway. So it will stay but wear your sunglasses!
Not much else going on around here. I will post a couple pics I took of Good Old Days. No, we didn't go but we drove past. And think good thoughts for Jack and I! Our 27th anniversary is the 6th. How awesome that is to us both. No celebration or dinner out this year as we are trying to pay off some things and are kinda short on funds. But we are happy just to spend a quiet day stitching together. See you soon!

I love yellow, but yellow and red are very hard to work with. If you get the wrong shade they both can look like very cartoonish, or stuff you put on hot dogs. eeek. I have my bedroom in yellow and love it, it is so bright and wonderful of the mornings or err uh when I get up. lol

Happy anniversary!!! It is our 7th anniversary the same day. Happy stitching. I wish I could interest my DH in stitching. :)

I will think nothing but super thoughts for you and Jack :)

Hi Michelle,
First of all a Very Happy (early) Anniversary to you two!!
The yellow paint looks cheery to me.
I once decided I wanted a yellow accent wall in my living room. Yikes, it looked like I had squeezed several bottles of French's Mustard all over the walls. It took lots to cover that back up!!

If you'd see the bright canary yellow that my neighbour painted her living room with, you'd think the yellow you have is quite muted! lol I prefer the yellow you have to hers!! Happy early Anniversary to you and Jack...27 years is quite an achievement:-) xoxo

There have been so many times we've misjudged what a paint color was going to look like. Yellow is a tricky one, too. Yours looks very cheery, however.

Happy Anniversary tomorrow! Getting out of debt is a wonderful gift to each other!

I love the colors on the stitchery. I have done quite a few wedding gifts with the Precious Moments bride and groom - white on off white, with a glimmery white for the veil. Very hard on the eyes, but wonderful result. You can only use very short pieces at a time, though, or it takes away the shimmer, I found.

Thank you for stopping by with your encouraging words!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and your sweet words about my dd and the album cover. I tried to reply to your email but it came back undeliverable. You must not have your email set on your blog. So here I am. such pretty work you do.

I have a yellowish kitchen. The paint justs didn't look like that on the sample. It's been there for nine years already. I hate it... But yours looks good to me!
Happy anniverasary to you two. The simplest pleasures are happy moments. I wish you another 27 happy anniversaries, at least!
Hugs to you two.

That heart is really pretty-love the colors. Now, as for the yellow in your hallway. It looks yelllow to me-I don't think it's bad at all.

The yellow is infinitely beeter than my mil's Pepto Bismol pink guest room. She painted the whole room and it made ALL of us nauseous. It was a HIDEOUS color. She redid it in a soft rose and now all is well!
